Yes, b/c when I was 23, talented, rich and adored, I never faltered or made errors in judgment and always performed at a high-level ... especially when coming back from major injuries.
Yes, see if Brady, Breeze, Eli, Payton, Matt, Rivers, or Rodgers ever said the stupid things our QB has. For that matter Jason Campbell, all the horrible thing he went through and never did he compromise his team. RG3 has the talent and Campbell had the mentality. I hope against hope, that sitting RG3 will help him realize that a franchise qb always puts everyone ahead of himself. He tells his father never treat me like a baby and keep your mouth shut. He stands by his team and his coach no matter what. The rest will take care of itself. A coaches record will dictate whether he stays or goes. I have listened to every former gm on the radio and TV and they all say they are shocked at the things that RG3 has done since he got hurt. Anyone failing to recognize that is in denial. |

Too many for fault to fall squarely on the players. At this point the majority of the fault for this teams failures belongs to the coaches. None of the coaches are passing their conditioning test right now, that's on the HC. |

The Mannings? Did you forget about Eli's draft. I am sure Archi hasn't looked out for Peyton's best interest either. Rivers, never getting in trouble for his antics? Brady and Kraft are as chummy as can be. When has RG3 compromised his team? He didn't say "I" in one press conference. You act like he's out shooting up the club while shooting up heroine he lifted of a dead hooker's body. For a kid out of college with the amount of crap that has been thrown his direction for the failures of his coaches, he has handled it with uncommon grace. If you want to bench him to see if Kirk can handle the offense better than I can get that but this other stuff... What did Kirk do to piss Shanny off enough to put him in, if he starts? Shanny: Hey Kirk, I am afraid RG3 might get hurt behind our turn-style of an OL so we are going to put you back there so maybe its your knee that goes out and not his again. Kirk: Are you sure coach I think he needs all the reps he can get to "learn" from. Intermission. |

They have a better O-line, better WR's, better TE and their QB is playing way better than ours. |

So question to everybody: Did Shanny purposely make up that story and leak it? And the motivation is too..?

Jason Campbell was too busy compromising himself on the field. |

Ah yes, those paragons of virtue ... Tom "Temper Tantrum" Brady, Eli "Trade Me Or My Daddy Will Beat You Up" Manning, Phillip "I Will Taunt Opposing Teams 'Cause I Can" Rivers and Aaron "Discount Double Check" Rogers. No distractions (particularly in their early years) there. Stick by their coach? The opportunities for RGIII to throw MS under the bus have been both obvious and numerous. The assertion he has not "stuck by a coach" who has ignored his input on play calling, leaked stories critical of him and now talks of benching him for his safety after playing him against one of the top defenses on a slick snowy field is ignorant. RGIII could have very easily pulled a McNabb but, instead, rebuked McNabb and his weasely ways. Basically, RGIII has kept his mouth shut and tried to say the right things when called out. At the same time, he's not a f'ing robot. He's 23 dealing with sudden fame and adoration. For the most part, when he HAS had something to say, you hear it from him and not from some anonymous "leak". I am sure you, in all your perfection, would have handled the immediate fame and intense scrutiny so much better (which none of the listed QB's, other than the Mannings, had to deal with - and Eli, BTW, caught tons of sh** early for having a bad, sulky attitude). I, on the other hand, remember 23 and am constantly amazed that I didn't torpedo my life with some of the dumb things I did and said back then. Former GM's are shocked by what he has done? Like what? Work hard to come back by opening day? Do a commercial or two? A documentary (which, when shot, included Luck but he got cut 'cause he's got the charisma of damp rice). Sorry, every GM I have heard has said "it's a tough situation and he needs to learn and mature." Wow. ... now that's some inciteful sh**. The wheels are coming off the bus and, quite recently, it is MS, not RGIII, who is showing the complete lack of character and willingness to throw anyone and everyone under the bus. If you can't see that RGIII is a young guy with solid character trying to navigate a difficult situation brought on by instant fame, you, sir, are at "Denial: Boss Level". |

I think a lot of the "drama" around Washington has been because Shanahan leaked it. Not all of it, but I think he did it to potentially get another job since someone would believe it wasn't his fault. In the end he failed as a coach, a gm, and every other possible way you can. |

Well he did say there are partial truths to everything. And he didn't flat out deny the report, that's his usual MO if something isn't kosher with him. The motivation is to piss off the owner and get fired, and most importantly save his reputation in the process. Toss the blame on Snyder and RG3. And in the end where else would the story have come from? |

I wouldnt think he would lie like this...i dont know, its disappointing. I think maybe we should grant Shanny wish, but I dont think Dan will play that without checking with his lawyers on the show cause deal. |
