I agree, dont think we need to bring in a starter for the SS position. Let Thomas and Rambo fight it out for SS. We need a vet at FS fo sho.
I'm done with Rambo!!! Rambo, you and Niles Paul same bus outta town. |

FFS man, Rambo was a mere rookie. Cut the guy some slack. |

Lol, ok so give up on a kid after one year because he made some rookie mistakes? Quite harsh. Kid showed improvement down the stretch. |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
I think we should hang onto Rambo and Thomas and develop them.
That said, neither one of those guys showed me last year that they had the stuff to start this year. Yes, Thomas was injured, but he did not wow in his brief stint. We can't just cross our fingers and pray regarding Thomas and Rambo. We need to bring in a vet SS. :twocents: |

I can't imagine an NFL safety that's allergic to contact. He was even scared to hit Chris Johnson. That dog won't hunt. I can deal with mental mistakes but not sure if you can learn courage at this stage in the game. |

Geez, by your thinking the Colts should have cut Peyton Manning after year one.

To me the biggest need is a solid, vet FS on a multi year deal. If you bring in a vet SS too, I think you hedge it against better young guys suited to play SS (Thomas and Rambo(imo)) and the value of Reed. So if you can bring in a better player than Reed and at a decent value on a two year deal, I wouldnt be pissed. |
Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
People complain that we don't grow our own talent, but then people want to cut a guy(s) after one year so he can go else where and become good this has happened before give the guys sometime they will get better IMO.

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
If no one has time to develop rookies, where do the vets come from?
Some kinda magic incubator? |

Re: Current 2014 Free Agents
Gomes is garbage. That's like asking for Kevin Barnes back. You can't seriously want these garbage ass dudes back?
Rambo will be fine and at bare minimum, will provide some newbie depth. |
