Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
If you want to know what the coaching staff really thinks about the move, just ask joe (bugel). He's the only one that'll give you a straight answer... he couldn't use coach-speak to save his life (in the same way that portis rarely uses player-speak to avoid answering questions directly).
Didn't hear Buges comments on Saunders coming on board, would you say he was all for it or indifferent? |
Didn't hear Buges comments on Saunders coming on board, would you say he was all for it or indifferent?
IMO Buges should be happy for any move that makes this team better. We shouldn't be worried about stepping on anybody's toes here. Aren't they in the buisness of winning football games? If anyone is worried about feelings they are on the wrong staff

i haven't heard him talk about it either, i was just saying, he's the one to get straight answers from. like the list of team needs he rattled off five minutes after our last loss, whereas gibbs and williams etc just kept saying "we'll have to look it over and talk about it". |
Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
What is the coaching hierarchy on offense now? Gibbs->Saunders->Bugel->Musgrave? I thought there was another level in there, but can't remember who...

Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
is Portis and Betts gonna put up Holmes and Johnson numbers next year?
We go 14-2 at worst if that happens and destroy everyone in the playoffs too. Imagine KC with a good defense. They are unstoppable this past year. If Betts and Portis are even close to Holmes and Johnson(a tall order) then we win the division running away and probably get a 1 or 2 seed. I think Saunders is going to be a big help but I'd never imagine we'd get that much better in one off-season. We can always hope though. |

Something tells me Gibbs runs a pretty flat organization. The exception of course would be Gibbs but then everyone beneathe probably runs on a similar respect level. I'd think Saunders steps in for Burns. Burns moves to a consulting role focusing on a specific area or position. Bugel stays right where he is and Breaux works closely with Saunders. Musgrave is still your QB coach/Campbell babysitter. |
Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
I think Al Saunders is going to have more power than anyone on the offense, and Joe Gibbs will make sure everybody knows it.

Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
Watch all the analyists this offseason. They are going to make sure to book their seat on the Redskins bandwagon early.

Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
I'm not sure I want to go to Heaven if there is a chance Peter King might be there. (See the Arthur Monk HOF petition) What was Coach thinking?
BTW, I have a buddy who showed up at Redskins Park after the Bucs game and he got an autographed pamphlet entitled "Joe Gibbs and God" or something to that affect/effect. His border collie chewed it up. Dude was pissed. |
Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
we still need a kicker!!!! it has 2 be the girliest job in football. they get payed millions 2 kick a ball through to metal poles. this is somethin they practice almost every day a week yet i am still seeing kickers get injured or choke big time. NICK NOVAK!!!! yeah do u guys remember that week 3 thriller against the seahawks where nick novak actually drilled 2 kicks from over 40 b/c there was a penalty. thats a damn good kicker right there. i hope dan snyder reads this!!!!!

Re: Peter King Praises Redskins Offseason Moves
I HATE BANDWAGON ANALYSTS & FANS. there was nothing that made me more mad than to watch people u kno nd can quote saying "oh the redskins suck" nd right wen they string a couple wins together "oh ive liked them all along"....annoying, but i guess wen u see people hopping on the bandwagon, its a sign saying were doin alright..
