He's young, adjusting to a new system, never had much playing time, and stuck behind a hard act to follow. He needs some time.

I don't think you were alone in favoring Hicks over Davis back in '98.

I'll admit I thought Hicks was the more dynamic runner. Davis pretty much came out of nowhere. I know he had a good college career, but before '98 he was pretty average anytime he got into a game. Playing at FB the season before helped him learn how to play with more power and the rest is history.

Exactly, he learned how to hit the hole hard instead of looking and being tenative, I see the same thing in trung candidate, only trung lack's the power, but he has more speed, I am kind of curious how his situation now play's out.
