Didn't we have something like 12 TDs in our last 12 red zone attempts last year?
yeah seriously. were not oging to have ANY problems in the red zone this year. its going to be all about that roll out play to sellers or cooley.

How would you rate Santanna Moss' quickness versus Randle El? or Brandon Lloyd? What I'm asking is Moss owned the WR screen last year: could Lloyd or Randle El also be used with similiar effect? I think our small, quick WR's are going to cause so many sleepless nights for our opponents defensive coordinators. This thread actually has me getting pretty excited thinking about the scoring possibilites!
except that that article was written more than 2 weeks before your post. and others had been saying that here for two years.
Details, details. It's always details with you isn't it?

Actually, I've been saying the same thing since '99 when I first got a computer with access to the internet and I joined at the original Warpath Yahoo! group.

So there.

all three (and cooley) are good open field runners that can make people miss. El has good short speed, his long speed isn't as great as guys like moss though. Lloyd is a bit slower, but a much better jumper.
Good article, especially since we seem have this argument all the time over the Skins' need for a big WR.

It's all about speed now. A big WR is useless if he can't run. That's why TO's still dangerous and McCants and Rod Gardner just stink. All pro bowl WRs have great hands and are way fast...Randel El and Lloyd are sweet. There aren't anymore Art Monk's left in the league, and it's bullshit that he's not in the Hall.

a few years ago CBs were allowed to maul WRs all the way down the field (the panthers were the worst offenders and rode WR abuse to the SB). at the time big receivers were necessary cause they took less injuries and could use strength to break away.

now with the 5 yard rule actually being called, being big helps more in the red zone than in the open field, which is how it should be.

Yes, I agree and that all makes a ton of sense. Also defenses are dictating even more than they could have imagined back in the day. With the Pats 3-4, you have no idea what's going on, just like our defense when we do double fire CB blitzes and 9 man blitzes with Springs and Rodgers on an island.

Portis should have like 25 touchdowns this year and thats real no B.S. Sellers no problem gettin in the endzone, cooley no problem, our recievers no problem we are dangerous.
