so that's a 3 yr. minimum w/no chance of getting that time suspended?
It can't be illegal to carry a gun in Fla. as that would violate the 2nd amendment. The question then becomes was the gun registered to ST? & of course his intent in having the gun at the time (doubt he was on his way to a shooting range).
carrying a licensed gun is fine, but once you use it in a crime, you're toasted. |
Re: Taylor & Courts
No body here knows enough details about what happened to make any prediction. How can you say he will do time before he's been convicted? If this is still America, then he's innocent until the charges are proven in court, not on the Internet.
It looked bad for him in the Virginia DUI case until a real judge looked at the real evidence. The state trooper said he failed the sobriety test and was drunk. The judge looked at the evidence and said that he not only passed the test, but that he clearly was not resisting arrest. In other words, he should never have been charged with anything in the first dam place. What I hope for is a fair trial and that justice is served, whatever the outcome. And whatever the outcome, both the Redskins and Taylor will get through it. |
you have got to be kidding me.the rich and famous just do not do jail time.the few examples of famous people(martha stewart)were either being made an example of, or really pissed someone off.no way sean taylor does any time
Tell that to Jamal Lewis. |

Completely different situation. |
Completely different situation.
Not at all. dmek's claim was that the rich and famous do not do jail time. That would come as news to Jamal Lewis who most certainly did time and for a less serious crime than Taylor is charged with. If Taylor is found guilty, he won't avoid jail time just because he's rich and famous. |

Maybe a slap on the wrist. Maybe

Re: Taylor & Courts

Re: Taylor & Courts
I agree. You'd think there would be this little thing called evidence that the prosecution might be able to drum up.
I DO think they might have a strong case for assault, but since there is no gun, you must acquit. :) |
Re: Taylor & Courts
I agree, does anyone know what hard evidence the state of FL has as far as the gun issue?

Re: Taylor & Courts

Re: Taylor & Courts
Thank you sir. I had a lot to do on Friday at work so it worked out well.

Re: Taylor & Courts
After reading the most recent article, I am not surprised one bit. I called this weeks ago. Taylor was the victim and this was one huge witchunt. It looks like the D.A. in Miami is just another fool with an agenda.

Re: Taylor & Courts
The CBA talks prepared me well for this stuff. I'm not worried, things will work out.
