This should get Brett to go ahead and make his decision. I can't believe that the Packers are letting Brett jerk them around like he is for the second year in a row. It would be intresting if they just went and cut him. It would realy get the fans going and give the media alot to descuss. Its like he wants to be cut so he can go to another team making it look like the packers fault and not his.

i think green bay would be great for him....high profile defensive players have excelled there...they have always sid he has game changing ability. He can win OR lose a game for your team ( I hope Farve doesnt blast him when Lavar doesn't contain the weakside because he over pursues and some running back goes for a 60 yard TD during a 1st round playoff game in overtime and Green Bay loses at Lambaeu in Farve's last game)
I don't think the book on Arrington is completely written yet. He' still pretty young. We needed to get rid of the guy, but he's got the talent and character to still do some good things in this league.
The last time I checked the skins were already rid of this guy.

How much anybody wanna bet that Green Bay pitched the Reggie White story? about how he came to town & made the packers a winner. In fact, Farve mentioned something about that signing in his presser the other day.
I couldn't help but think how much alike Farve & Lavar are in their respecitve games, they both take risks. Farve isn't coming out on top w/his lately w/29 ints. in 05.
Signing Lavar would be mainly a pr coup for GB, but I don't see it as much more for 06. Beyond next year, he can contribute a lot if they can surround him w/decent players, but they're fooling themselves if they pay big $$.

Packers aren't going to dish out tons of money for anybody. I don't see Arrington getting what he is asking for out of Green Bay.

at favres press conference it was almost like he was begging the front office to go out and sign anyone

If the Pack signed arrington, who would they draft? Would they trade up and draft dabrickwall ferguson, vernon davis, darnell bing, michael huff, deangelo williams (trade down), winston justice (trade down). What would be their options? I would think they would like to get some offensive power via the o-line, or if they do trade walker, then maybe a wr or big play TE like Davis. What do you guys think?

I think that is why the Sheriff said we NEEDED to get rid of him

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I think he's just looking for any sign that the team wants to seriously compete this year. They have a ton of cap room but they're not really budging on anything.

The team seems to be planning on building via the draft and taking things slow. That's fine, but that's not the win now plan that Favre is looking for.

How dare you suggest such a notion about Brett "The Second Coming of Christ" Fav-rey.

He said that if they feel like he's hurting the team they should cut him

He's daring them to do that. In fact, he may want them to do that so he doesn't have to make the decision for himself.

I'm pretty sure he's not daring them to do it, but I think you could be right that he might want them to just so he doesn't have to make the decision. And so what if he is? I love how everyone acts like it's an easy decision.
