Re: Warrick Holdman
this is a good signing believe it or not. we get a veteran who knows the system who certainly has the talent to be great still, he just needs to play up to it and im glad we are giving him another shot

Re: Warrick Holdman
I'm willing to bet the contract is at the vet minimum, or close, for a guy who knows the system. He's not the answer, IMO, but a bit of depth and experience. And who knows? Maybe he'll step it up.
The real hope is that one of the younger guys steps up in camp. |
Re: Warrick Holdman
One bad year and everyone writes him off... sounds familiar.

what about those people who wrote jacobs off after a year? OR raymer after 2004? Are you going to contest those guys too? |

Jacobs is entering his 4th year, Raymer is a long-time vet. Different circumstances, Jacobs hasn't done jack, Raymer had a pretty decent career but is obviously falling off. I'm looking at the entire body of work here. Holdman has had a pretty solid career up until last year. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say last year was more of a fluke than anything. |
Re: Warrick Holdman
I almost think he can't possibly be any worse than how he played last year, so there must be room for improvement. Either way, I hope he's not what the coaches think is "the answer" at weakside OLB.

Re: Warrick Holdman
last year we didnt see warrick holdman really screw up, his name was never mentioned. he just never made plays...was kinda just there and our defense was fine...
|
Re: Warrick Holdman
Yeah, we didn't see him miss tackles, just not be where he was supposed to be filling holes.
|
Re: Warrick Holdman
He is a good backup who may be able to improve to a starting level with the one year experience in the system. I am happy with the signing.

Re: Warrick Holdman
I'm willing to give him another chance, because I won't lie I definitely gave up on Daniels.
|
Re: Warrick Holdman
Malcolm you were'nt the only one who gave up on him.

Re: Warrick Holdman
holdman is as whack.

i hate how everyone thinks he had a good year b/c of the sacks he racked up at the end, when they were on rookie tackles with no experience in dallas.....he had 4. but i have to say after that he was on a roll........renaldo wynn is a different story |
Re: Warrick Holdman
ive been on the daniels bandwagon the whole time. you certainly cant say he was bad. he was 3rd int he league in batted passes and was GREAT in run support. he might not have had a huge sack year, but he WAS a force in the passing game and had numerous pressures that dont go into the statbook.

Several tipped balls lead to ints which some may have won the game for us. I think it was the Tampa playoff game it seemed as our D line tipped every other pass.
