Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
I have repeatedly asked Redskins.com to transcribe videos, and put them in print for those of us who do not have video capability.
LDS, being the big communications guy he is, should have this resolved by now! I'd rather read it, anyway. That way I can go back and re-read whatever I missed quickly. |
Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
Part of the reason as fans, and the Redskins choose and were excited about Taylor is because he was a character guy. Son of a police chief, from all accounts one of the nicest individuals you'll meet. It seems he has an internal "good guy" "devestating asshole" switch which he turns on for games. I think we need that enforcer attitude, and like Greg Williams, I'd rather have that intensity and the penelties than no penelties w/o the intensity.
Either way, I love Taylor and he seems totally down to Earth. |

As long as he's not pulling guns on ME, he's A-OK in my book.

Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
Before I even start I'll admit I'll probably be thrown into boiling oil for saying this...
I'm kinda surprised by some of the responses here. People who called him a "nice guy but made bad decisions". But we look at players of other teams, who we don't know as well, and base our judgements on "bad decisions" that they have made. I'll go ahead and throw out the example of Marcus Vick. Now, I'm not saying he is a Saint, heck I'll even say he is a thug. But I think if he were on our team, most of you all would probably be defending him for his actions and just saying he is "a mislead individual"(which he may be). Now, before I'm branded a traitor and bashed out of this forum, I wanna say that I love the Redskins and I like Sean Taylor....but he did do what he did, and if I were some of y'all I would be wary of defending him. |
Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
Not really. Or at least I wouldn't. I definitely was pissed at Sean for the spitting thing, just as I would be pissed at Marcus for the stomping thing. Only problem is, Vick without even HAVING an NFL career has been in far more "proven" trouble than Sean has.

Plus I'll stick up for Sean Taylor, for the same reason I'll root against Lavar Arrington - the jerseys that they wear. |
Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
Anyone who isn't at least willing to acknowledge that he's made some poor choices is definitely being a biased homer. He definitely has done some dumb things in his young career, hence the label of dumbass.
But being a dumbass is not such a big deal, so long as he manages to mature and make the right decisions. He can still be plenty intimidating on the field and make good decisions off of it. I think it will just take some time, he's still just what, 24 years old? |
Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
I think in the end, no one is as bad as they seem and no one is as good as they seem.
That being said, strap on your helmet bitches, I'm ready for some football!! |

I always wanted to ask: what exactly is a homer ? |
Re: Anyone See Sean Taylor's Interview on Redskins.com?
Someone who, without logic or reason, believes his favorite team, player or STD is better than the others just because HE or SHE likes them.
