If you like Atmosphere, check out Slug's project with Murs... they're called Felt and they've got two really good albums: "A Tribute to Christina Ricci" and "A Tribute to Lisa Bonet"

Eyedea and Abilities (philosophical lyrics, incredible scratching)
Infectious Organisms (jazzy, instrumental hip-hop ... think The Roots)
The Last Emperor (try to d/l online...probably won't find a CD)
Richy Pitch (and pretty much anyone on the 7Heads label)

most definitly will... I actually saw Eyedea and Abilities on tour with Atmosphere and Aesop rock.

They all did there sets and then came back out and battled for probably a good 20 min. Eyedea tore all of them up.

I don't know who binary star is... but I listened to Jedi Mind Tricks a while back and when I downloaded BS I ended up w/ alot of tracks from Jedi... and the ones that I hadn't heard yet I love.

great suggestion... I'm bumping it right now... music to my ears :-)

OneBeLo (AKA One Man Army) from Binary Star is one of the most underrated lyricists in hip hop. Peep "S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M", his solo effort.
