Re: Who's the MVP
LT hands down. San Diego without LT would have 7 wins or so right now...LT is a HUGE factor. The biggest value to ANY team anywhere. Brees is big, yes, but no LT.
PS- Jones-Drew is the new Barry Sanders...what a delight to watch. |
Re: Who's the MVP
If I was a betting man, I would take the sure bet and bet that LT takes home the MVP. The biggest reason why LT, IMO, will get the nod of MVP is because of the publicity he is getting for breaking records.
I don't know where San Diego would be with out him, but I would be pretty confident to say that they would have more than 7 wins with Mike Turner in thier backfield. I mean LT gets the TD's but people offten forget that he has one of the best fullbacks in Lorenzo Neal plowing the way for him. Hell even LT admits that his success is in part to Neal paving the the way for him. With that being said I believe that Brees deserves the nod for MVP. He basicly put that team on his back this whole season. My biggest argument for Brees is this, put Aaron Brooks back on the Saints at QB with Coleston, Horn, Bush, McAllister. Would the Saints with Brooks be where they are at now? I highly doubt it, hell even with the current back up QB the Saints are no where close to the same team. If Brees was on pace to break Mannings single season TD record then I think that there would be alot of hype around Brees. But the fact of the matter is, is that Brees is getting it done quietly and maybe getting overlooked... |

Re: Who's the MVP
Very close between LT and Brees, but if I'm voting I give the nod to Brees due his bounce-back from an injury to his throwing arm.

Re: Who's the MVP
LT will run away with it. The reason why I favor him over Brees is because the defense is looking for LT on every single play, and he still does his thing. Also, it's not like he's just accumulating stats, it's the fashion in which he does it. In other words, LT will win because of 'style points'.
It's just wild to think the Chargers had/have all that talent on one roster. I remember when I lived in San Diego for some years the fans there would constantly bash the GM and owner, but in hindsight it looks like this guy knows his job. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Pierson Prioleau! Made the playoffs with him in 2005, won't make it without him in 2006. Case closed!

Re: Who's the MVP
Devin Hester, isnt he a nickle corner? you gotta be kidding me. Every year, one of those bears Special teamers tears it up (a lot to do with blocking).
LT hands down. He should be the MVP even if he sat out the last three weeks. NO DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE CAN STOP HIM, I can't remember the last time I said that about a player. Brees is awesome this year, but Peyton's numbers are right with his (except for yardage). |

Yeah but you forgot that Peyton is the NFL's "GOLDEN CHILD"... |
Re: Who's the MVP
How can anyone say Brees over Tomlinson??
Tomlinson has scored more TDs in 13 games than anyone else has in a FULL SEASON. He's on pace to set a Joe DiMaggio-esque record. He's a threat to run, block, throw, and catch. Brees has been valuable, but don't forget the Saints hit on the ROY, Marques Colston. They've also got Bush opening up space in the offense. The bottom line, Tomlinson is head and shoulders the best back in the league this year. Brees MIGHT be the best QB, but even if you think he's the top QB, you still must admit that Peyton Manning is right with him. The one guy separating himself is LT. |
Re: Who's the MVP
LT or Brees. My choice is Brees because San Diego would be pretty good with Turner but how can you pick against LT? Brees has put that team on his back and they are playing great.
I don't agree at all. He has a healthy Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush, ROY Marques Colston, Joe Horn is still a threat, and a bevy of other WRs. Sean Payton came into that team and injected a real NFL offensive scheme. Brees has been great, but it's not like he doesn't have crazy weapons. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Brees would get my vote.
Sticking with the 'most valuable' description, there's no way New Orleans is where they are without Brees. San Diego could probably still be right in the thick of things with another back. LT has been amazing, but Brees has taken that entire team on his shoulders.
By that logic, where would Indy be without Peyton Manning? With that defense, they'd be 2-10. I don't even think Brees is the most valuable QB in the league, let alone MVP. |

You could say the same thing for Ramsey. ;) |

Nah, cause the Jets aren't any better with him. |

What was their ecord last year? It was 4-12. As of now it's 7-6. What was our record last year? It was 10-6. We could finish 4-12. Ramsey is the key. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Ramsey is my guiding light, he holds the key to my life and a redskins victory.........oh yeah, and he has a SEXY ROCKET ARM
