Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
I am fine with Wright staying as long as he isn't starting corner, I AM NOT COOL with Holdman staying.
No big surprise here.
A note on Rocky, I've heard that Lindsey may have been responsible for keeping him off the field last year. Look for him to play a much bigger role this year.
That seems like it was the case. I think Lindsey's release somewhat justifies my anger over how the defense played last year. Again, all the coaches can do is coach. I just wasn't convinced that our staff put people in the best position to succeed last year. You have a guy like Rocky, with a lot of raw talent, riding the pine on a defense that was bad. It just didn't make sense why he wasn't getting more playing time. Rocky, Vilma, Taylor....OH my!!!.. On a side note, did anyone else find it interesting the Ravens chose not to franchise Adelius Thomas? |
Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
I'd like to see us make a run at Thomas but I don't think we will. The guy can do just about everything.
Watch Kenny Wright pull a Walt Harris on us and go to the Pro Bowl next year.
They must really be planning on going after a CB this offseason because, as someone mentioned earlier, Wright is a decent nickel back.
You took the words right out of my mouth. |
Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
I wasn't even that impressed with Wright as the nickel.

Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
good ridance these 2 guys where major problems on our defense. I am glad to see we are actually cleaning house. Just Sign DOCK!

That may be what they are trying to do. Free up enough space to make early runs at Fletcher and Clements but also to keep Dockery if the price gets high. Or maybe I'm just hoping for the best |
Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
So my Wright and Holdman jersey are now useless???? That sucks!!!
That does suck, my friends, Friends mom gave him a Coles jersey for his birthday. We looked at it and just laughed. |
Re: Wright and Holdman Reportedly On Their Way Out
Not a chance. Kenny Wright was just terrible this year and was a liability every time he stepped on the field. Walt Harris was a good player for the Skins...not Pro Bowl caliber, but he didn't make mistakes.
Aside from constantly getting run over and not making tackles. |

After a year of toughing it out playing against 300+ pound centers and guards at MLB he will find OLB much easier going against TE's. Lemar may bounce back strong and have a great year. London Fletcher at MLB, Washington a SLB and Lemar at WLB on obvious run plays will a strong lineup. Plus add Alan Branch to the mix at DT and stopping the run should be no problem. |

In fact the biggest questionmark would have to be Fletcher, and the guy's a proven vet.

Bring Rocky off the bench then? Wright wasn't great but letting him go doesn't help (along with Vincent) doesn't help our depth issues in the secondary. |
