PP will be the man if he is ready to go. If not OS is slated to be the guy.

laron landry starts at ss and PP wont be able to play by time the season comes around, in fact i garuntee you that PP wont be able to play and if he does he will have no chance at starting cause its a 2 year injury.

I think the depth in our secondary is a very welcome surprise going into this offseason. The competition will be good for the team going into training camp. But, all of the help, and big names with talent in the secondary will mean nothing if we cannot get to the quarterback. D-LINE IS A HUGE NEED, AND CONCERN FOR US RIGHT NOW!!!!!! What will our front office do to bolster that? We need beasts up there stopping the run, and getting to the qb.

PP tore his ACL on the very first play of the season. With today's medical technology that isn't even a 1 year injury anymore necessarily. People come back from an ACL tear 100% a year later regularly.

your right...compare edges numbers when he did it 3 years ago and ran for 900 yards the year after and then 1500 the following year......or better yet willis mcgahee, he wasnt a 100 percent his rookie year either, much better numbers the following year......edge even said it was a two year injury as far as everything being normal again....but you are right gmscud you must be a doctor and know already, name some players who came back perfectly healty

Fox played very well last year. Although he's known to be a special teams ace, he isn't the best tackler in the box but, he plays centerfield very well and therefore he doesn't bite on the play fakes as your more agressive run supporting safeties.

I hope the Prioleau comes back from injury to perform well. He would always be good for laying a jarring hit on somebody. He sacrifices the body at all times to lay someone out. Guy has a lot of heart.
Key phrase there.. He's fragile and I think a move to safety would actually protect him more if we somehow pull the Bly trade..
How would a move to safety protect him?

He is going to have to take on a blocker on almost every running play and he's going to have to tackle much larger guys running directly at him.
If was has too fragile trying to jam WR's at the line and dragging them down when they made a catch, How is he going to hold up trying to shed a block from a TE or pulling guard only to see a power back trying to kill him?

I don't understand why the coaches want him moved over to strong safety.

Re: Who starts at SS?

Oh btw, I think OS will be the starter and we will use PP as the hybrid Corner/ Safety covering the slot. He gives GW more options on defence if he isn't starting safety.

Brandon Merriweather!

Re: Who starts at SS?

if we draft merriweather ill shoot myself, he is an awful pick and makes no plays what so ever......awful line there rvd420, if we pick a safety its landry or weddle after getting a second round pick

Re: Who starts at SS?

Well I believe that it will be Omar and Pierson splitting time at SS. They are both good guys and know our defense. All the talk of Springs is off base.
I really don't see him in a Redskins uni next year. Somehow, someway a deal will get done with the brincos on draft day sending us picks and bly for our sixth and maybe springs. Of course I have no inside knowledge and just guessing here. I'd like to think Springs will be back, but I'm not going to be pissed if we move on from his huge contract.

Prioleau is a safety. Big difference.

McGahee tore three ligaments in his knee. Prioleau tore one. Big difference.

Carson Palmer got back to 100% with an ACL injury that his doctor described as "career threatening". Palmer had 17 fewer weeks to recover than Prioleau did.

Prioleau will be good to go come September. Laron Landry isn't coming here, regardless of whether or not you believe it to be a good idea. He's not on our radar.
If I were GMScud, I'd slap ya around a bit for giving me 'tude! :spank:
