Whatever happened to Samkon Gado? He was playing pretty well a couple years ago
Why would GB give up all that just to move up to take Peterson?? They would have to be on crack to make that move.
I agree.

And do we really need another situational pass rusher to replace our highly paid situational pass rusher on pass rushing downs? Pa-lease. If we want to improve our pass rush we should try to do it from the interior DL.
I think that is a pipe dream. GB would be giving up too much.
I agree. Not only would GB be giving too much, Adrian Peterson will not be there at 6. If Cleveland doesn't take him, Arizona will. Of course this whole thing is total speculation, as are all of these possible scenarios we discuss, but this one I don't think has a snowball's chance in hell of happening.

Draft is only a few days away, any specualtion is pointless, as with Snyder anything and everything is possible with all options on the table. For all we know the FO will draft Quinn.

arizona will not grab him. they need to more help at the O-line and more players on the defense. they just payed james all that money they arent going to pay all that money to 2 RB's. they arent the redskins who tie all there money into one position for us it WR's. no way they take him.

"No way" Arizona takes him? I gotta disagree. James aging and has lost a step, and they don't have a backup who could make a viable starter. I agree that they need O-line and D, but from everything I've seen, Cleveland and Arizona are the top two suitors for Peterson. Besides, it's a two back league nowadays.

I'll be surprised if Arizona takes Peterson. The Cards need O-line help after losing Leonard Davis who never really lived up to offensive tackle expectations -- plus, they'd love to have a bookend tackle to protect Matt Leinart for years to come.

You can always find suitable backup running backs later on. I'd say Joe Thomas is lock for Arizona.

You're crazy. He's right, there's no way they'll take Peterson. They love them some Joe Thomas. They also would love a DE.

Although this years draft is weak in the RB department. And are we forgetting if Detroit doesn't move out of the two spot they could take Joe Thomas? I'm not saying Peterson is a lock to go to Arizona, I'm just saying there is a chance. E.James isn't all that anymore.
Pilfered from Matt Williamson's chat on ESPN today:

That would be an amazing deal for the Skins if we posed it instead of Minn I doubt that Minnesota and GB would make a trade like that but it wouldn't hurt either team much if we did it with GB..

A pass rusher, plus 2 picks? Are we smart enough to pursue that?
I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. probably won't happen though.

no way arizon takes peterson. i know its a two back league but u dont spend what u did on james then draft a RB #5 overall that alot of money in spent on RB's. so its weak draft a RB in the second round to play alongside james.

Why am I "crazy?" Because I think there is a chance Arizona will take Peterson? There IS a chance. Just b/c Mel Kiper's ever-changing mock draft doesn't have him penciled in doesn't mean it's not possible.

Edgerrin James is about to start his 10th season in the league, and simply isn't the player he used to be. I agree that Arizona needs help on the line both defensively and offensively. But as deep as this year's draft is for D-lineman, Arizona could get a high quality player at pick #38. They also have a pick at #69 as well.

Look, I'm not saying Peterson is going to Arizona. I'm just arguing that it's not out of the question. If Joe Thomas and Peterson are both there at 5, I agree that Thomas would be the pick. Remember, this whole thing started with me saying Peterson won't drop to the 6th pick or lower. That I believe, is a lock.

It's becoming less of an assumption that the Lions will trade back -- all signs seem to point to that, they apparently have a suitor in Tampa Bay who want CJ, and they have needs everywhere, so picking up extra selections without moving that far down would be the right choice.

The Lions want Gaines Adams; they've made no bones about it, but they can still grab him if they move back to #4. Cleveland will take Peterson alongside Jamal Lewis because "it's a two-back league nowadays", and Arizona can find running back help in the 3rd or 4th round.

Mark it down. This is how it'll play out.

Any way you slice it, Saturday's draft could be one of the most exciting (at least the first two rounds) that we've seen in a long time. I can't wait. And just think of all the new stuff we'll have to talk about around here?? The past month or so has felt a lot like this:
