Re: Redskins Insider: Bubble Guys
Everybody loves Ade until he lines up at corner -- then we get all white-knuckled and take a big swig of whichever alcoholic beverage we can find.
And I don't really know anything about Macklin, but even with the injury history, Butler seems to be a notch above him.
No doubt. If it were just on cornerback play, Ade would be a goner. Those zero net yard punt returns he delivers up are strong in his favor, though. Remember the hit he had against Carolina? Perectly timed. He couldn't have done it any better. |
Re: Redskins Insider: Bubble Guys
Ade's play at corner has definitely improved over the years to where he's a serviceable dime guy.

Re: Redskins Insider: Bubble Guys
I agree, I used to use the "Ade" as a local joke, but dude has improved and is a TEAMER

Or how about the hit he had a couple of years ago against Arizona? Everyone says Antonio Brown won that game and propelled us to the playoffs. Perhaps, but Ade's hit on Fitzgerald was huge. He "Jimohbilized" him (that's my new word :) ) |

I don't think he was there for anything other than speeding up their learning curve. Now they've got a full year in the Saunders' offense under their belt, so Collins becomes very expendable. I think it'll be Brameltt or Palmer, more likely Bramlett. Youth is important. Two 37 year olds as back ups doesn't give me any confidence. The way Bramlett has played over in Europe has been really impressive. |
