Re: Gerard Warren on the trading block!!

Ya,But all there asking for is a 5th round pick or a 6th.Maybe Warran doesn't like the Broncos and i say lets get Warren.Hes a upgrade and if he does suck than we have nothing to lose at all we just wasted a low Pick for him.And if he does suck or act out than goldston would start so either way we have a good situation for this.
I'll pass on this trade. Dont u understand that we're trying to "develop" Gholston and Montgomery. They cant develop if they dont get in the game.

Man I swear as soon as someone is on the trading block or released to free agency u guys are so quick for the redskins to sign them. Didnt u learn from the Archuleta deal? Duh.
exactly what this person said...please do not sign this guy. Gettin' Pinkston was bad enough

Re: Gerard Warren on the trading block!!

I read that we were interested in him as well according to espn.com. As much as I feel that he could be a major asset to us this year and years to come, I'm not willing to sacrafic several draft picks for him. Oh, and we all know, when we deal with Denver in a trade its going to be a mid to late round pick. They got the better of us in the Champ for Portis deal already...why are we going to help them again?

Also, if you read his contract it increases dramatically over the nest three seasons from 595,000 this year to 4.5 mil to 4.8 and so on. That's a lot of money for a guy who couldn't stay on Clevelands rosters.

Does anyone know how much cap we have? All of those guys are going to cost a pretty penny. I don't think we have enough cap to sign all of them. Maybe one of them, but I wouldn't want any of them on our team right now I think we are fine.

Talk to Schneed or Canuck if you want cap numbers.

Can he play left guard?

Re: Gerard Warren on the trading block!!

The Denver post article said the Broncos want a LB or WR, lets ship them Loyd & be done w/it!

I would hate to see Marshall go but he was brought up in the Briggs talks & he would fit in in Denver. I think we need his experience here, but if GW et al are after Warren they might offer him.

My feeling is that we won't make any trade for him. Remember that Denver wanted Springs but we wanted them to take some cap hit & they declined. So at least recently the front office has been more demanding w/Denver.

I would take Warren for a 5th round pick.

No thanks. We need to let Golston and Montgomery develop. Let's keep our draft picks this year.
With us trying to copy the Bears D we need to DTs who can penetrate the line in the backfield. Think about it him and Griffin would be dangerous. What do you guys think?

we are not trying to copy the bears d at all....in fact we are going away from that cover 2 bs.....if you dont think the bears play cover two then you didnt watch the carolina playoff game two years ago or the super bowl.....we are not going to play a lot of that this year....more cover 1 and cover three for us, so that landry can come down in the box more.......aaannnnnnnnywwwwwwwwayyssss, this guy is a soft puss and wont last through the 40 up downs he will owe to gwill.....thats my take
