Re: Chad Johnson disappoints.
In the end who really cares, his play on the field was the most entertaining part any way.
For anyone living under a rock:

Definitely original. I also heard that before the game, he was seen holding a sign that said "Please don't fine me again."
WOW, I was just about to post a picture of the time he actually held that sign up after a TD, but then I found this.... He held that up a long time ago, he got fined for it. I can't believe anyone would be upset by his little prank. I was expecting more out of him, it was funny no doubt, but not what I expected. As far as being offended by it, get over yourself. Football is and should be fun, not a bunch of drones. |
Re: Chad Johnson disappoints.
Personally for all the hype that was going on it didn't live up to it, but it was still pretty funny. CJ is pretty creative when it comes to touchdown celebrations, that one was just subpar. He also said he will have a different one for every game of the season, so I would like to see what he has up his sleeve next.

If that's the best he can do, he may as well quit now and just play the game. |
Re: Chad Johnson disappoints.
Anyone who actually takes an interest in TD celebrations and is over the age of 10, deserves to be disappointed at the very least.
Acting a fool for the man is very passe. C.P. is way ahead of the curve on this. His new militant, self-reliant approach to the game is obviously the wave of the future. Chad Johnson needs to get with the program. |
Re: Chad Johnson disappoints.
I think there's enough room in the game for guys like CJ.
After all, they are just playing a game. |

After all, they are just playing a game.
Perhaps, but I still enjoy watching a great play followed by a little humbleness, rather than watching Chad Johnson, or anyone else for that matter, make a routine play for a score followed by a comedic skit. I think it sets a bad precedence and a poor example of sportsmanship to younger athletes. CJ doesn't usually show up the other team, but some do, and I don't think it is necessary. There's celebration, and then there's over-celebration. To each his own, but for me personally, I just want to watch football. I don't need all the extracurricular stuff. |

I never really bought into the 'sets a bad precedent/example to kids' line.. I'm fine with good natured celebration of your accomplishment that's still within the boundaries of good sportsmanship which is what I think Johnson does.. Some of the stuff that TO did (Ray Lewis dance) and Joe Horn (Cellphone) were over the top but Ocho Cinco doesn't take himself overly seriously. It's up to parents to teach their kids the boundaries of sportsmanship. |
Anyone else extremely disappointed with Chad's 'celebration?' With all his hype, I was expecting more.
I am! He made a whole to do about this "greatest celebration" and all he did was put on a overcoat! I thought it was horrible. It would have been fine if he didn't run his mouth saying to watch it will be the best we've ever seen. Just horrible. |
Re: Chad Johnson disappoints.
Oh, and it would have been a lot better if the coat said "Future Commish"!
But you know who DIDN'T disappoint? My fantasy teams. Yessss.
My fantasy teams sucked, but Chad's stunt was funny as hell!!!!!! |
