He completed his first pass to himself? Are you kidding? Why does that not surprise me. Favre is such a wildcat QB, that only makes since!
I've always thought that was one of those funny stats. Not sure who batted the ball but it was a skin in Bretts first start with Atlanta.
Who was the Skin that caught his first INT? Was it while he was still in Atlanta?
The year was 1991, and 16-year-old SmootSmack had just celebrated his birthday the day before and Mark Rypien and the 9-0 Washington Redskins were well on their way to a 56-17 drubbing of Jerry Glanville's Atlanta Falcons.

A rookie QB from Kiln, Misssissippi made his inauspicious NFL debut for the Falcons on that Sunday afternoon, and the young whipper snapper was promptly greeted by LB Andre Collins who picked off Favre's pass and ran it back for a touchdown.

Favre would not complete a pass for the entire 1991 season. It wasn't until 1992, after he had joined the Green Bay Packers, that Favre would complete his first pass, a deflected pass that was caught by...Brett Favre.

WOW. I remember watching that game for the 56 we put up on the Falcons, but I had no idea it was Favre's debut. At that time, it didn't really mean anything though.

Agreed. Our boy CR pulls another one down, for a pick 6.

Now that I think about it I was at the game for my very first skins game. My dad won the tickets on some radio show and it was a blast. So what you saying is that Brett had his first int against the skins and his first recption to himself the following year? Did I get that right.

That's what I was thinking. I could see ST catching another gimme right before halftime. I don't know if he'll take it to the house because it will be a bad pass into traffic and Taylor won't really have room to go anywhere.

It will be very interesting if it happens Sunday (or should I say when it Happens Sunday) what the person will do with the ball.

I remember that game, Gary Clark had 200+ yards on 4 or 5 receptions!

It seems like Favre makes a bad decision just about every game that results in an INT. I would love to see Phillip Daniels bat it and catch it or something else strange like that. Not your routine INT.

Either that or someone in the secondary catches it to ice the game late in the 4th Quarter. How sweet would that be!
