Re: Story on Norv
First name that comes to mind is Jeff Fisher. But I think he made it in his fifth full year
You're close. Just looked it up. Fisher's first year was half a season. So while it was in fact his sixth season as the head coach, it was in his fifth full season that he made the playoffs. |
Re: Story on Norv
Addendum: in other words SmootSmack, you were right.

Re: Story on Norv
Never cared for Norv as a head coach, but I'm sure the Niners are missing him right about now. Condolences to the Nolan family for their loss, and I understand it's been a frustrating season health-wise for Frank Gore.
But damn, they look awful. Just awful. This after so many pundits had them as the "Saints of 2007" |
Dude, we should have hung w/ Marty a few more years, like maybe ten. Marty has as good an eye for talent as any coach in the league, he just goes Gibbish under lots of pressure.
Gibbish: The act of tightening one's game strategy to the point of strangulation.
I thought Gibbish meant, "The act of building three Super Bowl winning teams with three different starting QBs." Well, I guess I must have heard it wrong. |
