Yeah, he didn't earn it yet. That's part of the tragedy... the fact that he won't get the chance. You can't just give it to him, it would be hollow and he wouldn't have wanted it that way.

I agree. The hall of fame is about production, not sentiment. Do you think a Sean Taylor should take the Spot of an Art Monk? No way. I loved #21, but there should not be short cuts and those 5 spots each year deserve to guys who played full careers.

Taylor could have easily played another 10 years. I have no doubt in my mind he was a sure fire Hall of Fame player in the making.

But based on his current resume, no... he's not a Hall of Famer.

Sean had 3 solid seasons and a rookie year. Nothing close to HOF. The guy did play with all his heart though.

Tillman was not a Hall of Fame footplayer... Hall of Fame American though!!!

taylor would have to wait for ickey woods (the best rookie season for an rb (except maybe dickerson), followed by a career ending injury).

taylor would have been a HoF'er, but you've got to build the body of work first. It sucks, but that's how it needs to be.

He'll be in the Skins HOF (Ring of Honor hopefully) but he didn't have the accomplishments YET to get in. He would have, but that's not the purpose of the Hall.
