overpaying for crappy players is still stupid, regardless of the cap.

that said, we're alright cap-wise, but the mistakes made are huge ones (cash wise) and do keep us more limited than some other clubs will be this offseason.

betts, talyor, cooley, moss etc ARE great contracts though, so as long as lloyds and archuletas and arringtons are avoided (lavar could still play, but not at 7+mill a year), we'll be okay.
Considering how successful Snyder is at building successful companies and MAKING money, you'd think he'd change his Washington Redskins business model. The return on his investment has been subpar at best in regard to the product on the field. It almost seems like he pays hand over fist for the big names, just so he can gouge more money from the fans...

Wait a minute...
Yeah but if making money is the standard you are applying the Redskins have been more succesful than any other team. They top the league in revenue every year, and their performance on the field seems to impact profits very little.

Will there be a day when fans stop shelling out money on the team? Possibly, but I doubt it. As long as Snyder can bring in a few big names and give the fans something to get excited about that stadium will be full.

All this being said, btw, I have no doubt that Snyder desperately wants to win.

Yeah we on this very site have identified a bunch of ways the cap can be trimmed. We've given lists of players that can provide cap savings to us. Nice to see a media member plugged in enough to give an accurate analysis. Kudos to JLC.

I get so sick of the national media, who are WRITERS, write about salary cap accounting. That makes about as much sense as Martha Stewart calling a football game with Al Michaels. Guys like Peter King have NO CLUE how cap money is counted and how it all works. That's why they're WRITERS.

Me three. But I re-read the thread title three times before I clicked the link, only then did I understand.

giantone doesn't have a clue, same as his g-nomes, who by the way, lost to our B&G. The same B&G team that has had 12/22 starters out the year, or out a couple of games with injuries, or in ST's case, killed.

After seeing that 12/22 statistic, doesn't it makes you wonder how our team won seven games?
