Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
Well that's one of the dumber quotes I've read in a long time.
Ok,why? |
Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
Well the Seahawks D had to play when the Skins were on the field they seem to be able to communicate ok.
It's a lot easier to make defensive adjustments (hand signals) than it is for say the center to try to verbally communicate blocking assignments to the rest of the line. |

that's pretty much why. Plus, the D is allowed to move around prior to the snap so, for example, a linebacker is free to move up to a DT to tell him to move over to a different gap. There's also the fact that it's their home field, so I'm sure they're more used to working in that environment. |

Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
I definitely heard the pumped in noice at FedEx so we don't have room to complain. The one thing I will say though is that if it's true it's a shot to the so called "12th man" nonsense.

Even if all the sound is 100% crowd-made and they have every speaker in the place turned off they're aided by acoustics, and maybe a little more caffeine than most other places, but that's about it. |
Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
Matty , I understand that but if you watch the film you'll see that does'nt help when the LBer is calling out changes in coverage and stunts since he is "behind the D line and in front of the D backs.

Just off hand, over the last 24 hours I'd say it ranks right there with this: http://www.redskinswarpath.com/parking-lot/21860-post-number-1-000-a.html#post403411 |

So what are you getting at here exactly? That a defense is equally hindered by a loud crowd as the offense?? |

Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
sorry, I was just stating in general that the "piped in noise" complaint sounds like sour grapes.
You would think that the largest stadium in the league would be accused of piping in the sound at FedEx. But what is very clear, and that is the Seahawks cannot win outside of Washington with or without the 12th man. I remember RFK and no stadium rocked like that stadium, but a stadium that's not enclosed on either side creating that kind of noise? I believe Sonny. |
Re: Sunny Jerguson Seahawks Piping In Sound
Blah who cares.
Seems like anytime a stadium has a loud crowd, someone tries to accuse the home team of this. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
LOL!!!! People will try and find any excuse possible. |
