Geez, I see what you mean (dictator)... "end of discussion". Yes, it isn't that difficult, but why make things difficult at all? IMO, if you have legitimate topics to start, why not let them be started. If the administrator is policing the site for meaningless posts, then why not just police for a initial thread that is considered unnecessary? Looking for one is simpler than 10.

"My way or the highway" is for Marines, not blogs (of course, IMO).

I think it's hilarious when newbs come in and try to tell us how things should be run.

Hey, if you don't like it nobody is holding you hostage. You can't keep everyone happy, that's for sure. Our policies are in place because over time and experience we believe they are beneficial to the community as a whole.

If you don't agree, fine, go ahead and leave, or stay and go with the flow. There are plenty of other sites out there.

Are we really asking that much from people to post 10 meaningful responses before they are given permission to start up a thread? In my mind you are earning your right to contribute to the site. Plus it helps to discourage spammers. It's something that's in place for good reason, we're not just try to be evil controlling dictators. If that was the case we wouldn't even be having this discussion. We would have booted any of you dissenters right off the bat.

Be glad to. I have an extensive ‘Skins video collection and noticed your Film Room. In addition to possibly finding interesting items to enhance my own collection, I would like to possibly share what I have as well. Memorabilia is also an interest for me. Unfortunately, those sections do not seem to generate the interest that others do, although it has been enjoyable to read the variety of viewpoints.

Thank you for clarifying. But with such an extensive collection, are you not a fan then? Can you not talk about topics outside the film room? I mean I know you can, because I've seen you do it.

Either way, as has been mentioned, the rules are here for a reason. And they come from years of experience and a genuine effort to provide the best site.

Yes, I consider myself an extraordinary fan. But IMO, talking about things I have no genuine expertise or control over is pointless. I am a conformist by nature, so no, your rules don’t bother me at all. But I want to participate and at the time, “ditto posts” were the best way to accomplish that goal. I do apologize for breaking your rules and I hope I am forgiven. I just thought you guys should know that there is another side to it and that there are those with perfectly honorable intentions who may not operate how you guys wish.
