JC should be the unquestioned starter, but as for Tod Collins run last year, I think it was more to do with better play by the offense as a whole unit and his better understanding of the Al Saunders offense.

JC the man all the way, now he needs a tall, fast and shore handed receiver 2 go with Cooley, Moss and EL

You are absolutely right. If he is going to be the player we all hope he can be it is going to happen this year.

I like what Zorn is doing. Already he is building JC up. JC will probably spend more time with Zorn than his wife. I look for a much improved JC.

How so? He's got roughly the equivalent time of 1 full season as a starting QB and is going to be implementing a new offense. So if he struggles at all you want to show him the door despite most NFL people saying he's likely our franchise QB for the next 10 years?

After George, Banks, Matthews, Wuerffel, Ramsey & Brunell, Jason is a breath of fresh air and more talented than all of them combined. I know it's not much to compare to, but for the first time in a long time I am genuinely excited about the Redskins QB situation.

While I think Zorn is going to do wonders for Campbell and turn him into a Pro Bowl QB, I'm not sure it's going to be overnight.

I am glad that JC is going to be our starter next year. He should be. I am excited to see what Zorn can do with JC.

I still think the transition to a West Coast Offense won't be as tough for Jason Campbell as some of you guys think. He played in a West Coast Offense at Auburn under Al Borges and Tommy Tuberville when he won the National Championship in 2004.

I'm sure the terminology will be a little different but he and Zorn are both smart enough to compare notes and figure out a system they can communicate under. He'll be fine as long as he can limit his mistakes.

Campbell is about a year away from the prime of his career. This is the time he needs to be on the field getting his trial by fire, not watching someone else.

I don't understand why are we trying to keep Collins, he is a system QB. I would rather get a cheap vet versed in the west coast offense let go of costly collins and Brunnel and then draft a 3rd qb.

Re: Zorn Shines The Light On QB Situation

Good News. Todd was phenominal in the backup role, but when you see the strides that Jason was making during his time as starter, I think this is a very easy decision. Yes, he needs to be a little more clutch at the ends of games now, and he's gone through a lot of his growing pains, but the kid has the potential to be very, very good. As someone else said, he's a first round pick in his fourth year, if he's not the starter, than its time to draft someone who is....

We'll still probably pick up someone like Dilfer to be the #3.

Collins is a solid backup as he proved last year and he would be a good fit in this offense. Seems kinda stupid to not try to bring him back if you ask me.

We don't know that for sure. Just because he hasn't played in recent years in a different system, doesn't mean he can't do it.

I feel TC could be very effective in a WC Offense. His ability to make quick reads and get the ball out of his hands quickly could make his value to us alot more than people expect and give him credit for. TC is very coachable and very adaptable; his not so strong arm would be better suited for a WC type offense I feel. Appeared this past season that he excelled in the short to mid range passes another good thing for a WC type of offense. I feel Coach Zorn has seen these qualities as well and is a contributing factor in his push to keep TC.
