Isn't the whole point to get young players in the D-line?
Yes but I dont see this as a bad idea, I didnt say sign him to a huge contract but he could help us out. We need to draft young guys and we can have vets like Griffin and Coleman help teach these younger guys their techniques, and stuff.

You can never have enough depth at the D-line or O-line position. HE could be signed to a modest contract with the chanc eto compete to start, if not start then he can be put in rotation or certain downs.

Theres a mistake at signing Older players to HUGE contracts but there is nothing wrong to signing vets to modest contracts iwth incentives. IF he earns them incentives thats great, because that means he's doing something.

if dorsey falls, it'd be like alan branch, not Brady quinn.

coleman makes the line better, but then we've got the age problem again. he can start for 2 more seasons and then you've got to take a hit to drop him, or keep paying him starter money as a reserve.

the bucs can outbid us and i don't think he's the best way to spend money with such a deep DL draft. we can get a DE and a DT (like laws) and then the age issue on the DL is settled.

compared to the bucs guaranteed money, the incentive contract would see a quick and violent end.

the buc shavent offered him guaranteed money yet, and he wouldnt have to move far to come play for us.. I think We sign him to a 3-year deal and we still draft young guys for the d-and O line this year... Then if they for some reason arent ready or can't contribute some at first we have a proven vet to step in and play.

MODEST offer I say, nothing more..

I say he is worth more than Vet min + incentives but not starter money no way.. He knows that he wont be getting starter money too... Look how we did with fletcher, and fletcher is older than that guy.. and the LB position is the "young mans" position.. I think coleman has more than 2 years left on him.

lots of MLBs play till old age. OLB is a younger position... look at bruschi or zach thomas or ray lewis at MLB.

he will get starter money, cause he's still a starter. if you think vet min + incentives is going to get him to come here, that's nuts.
