Didn't Shane Matthews and Danny Wuerffel wear those numbers for a couple of weeks in the preseason?

I think so, but I looked at images... Mathews was 6, and Danny was 17.

I think Sean showed enough talent and heart as a player in the short career he had to have his number permanently retired...no one can ever fill his shoes or his jersey. He would have retired as one of the best safeties to ever play the game- I completely believe this.

[B]Nice find!!! [/B]But that hardly qualifies as having the numbers re-issued, the article was from May 2002, so they didn't even make it to camp with those numbers. Sounds like a dope (Spurrier) was set straight pretty quickly.

Sean didn't need a number to set himself apart from everyone else on the playing field. If they wore blank jerseys you would still know which one was him from the way he played. I say commit his NAME to the Redskins Ring of Honor, the greatest tribute you can give any Redskin.

So you think that DeAngelo Hall is going to the Redskins? Why? And if he did go to the Redskins I highly doubt that he will get the #21. But don't worry Hall will not be in D.C. anytime soon...
