anyone have an idea on what he did? i have been nosing around, and cant find anything? another guy , in a long list of guys, that lets his mental attitude get in the way of some awesome physical skills. could be a team issue for the giants
Burress whined about only catching 3 passes last week, although the rest of the team had plenty of catches and the ball was spread around well, which is usually GOOD for a team.

He blew off Monday and Tuesday practices BEFORE A BYE WEEK (all he had to do was come in, not even work as hard as usual).

The team suspended him for 2 weeks, but only 1 game because of the bye.

Basically, he cried because he didn't get open and do his job, stayed home from WORK which he's contractually obligated to be present for...he got himself a nice vacation from it. Maybe that was his goal though. :D

If we tried this, we'd be fired.

Plaxiglass is a real giant "one".

Listening to ESPN radio and they were talking about this. If a player misses a couple of meetings like this, they are not suspended for 2 weeks.

So that tells everyone that there is more there than just a couple of days missed. Apparently Burress has been a problem for a while, and there have been many infractions and the club decided to do something only after this latest one.

This was not the first time Burress has done this, they are hoping with this suspension that it will be the last time though.

He missed a practice not a meeting so the punishment would be different.

That's what happened according to ESPN radio. They did throw to him 10 times and he had 2 big drops along with his 3 catches.

Doesn't help that Rosenhaus is his agent. Drew claims he was dealing with a "family matter" but didn't call Coughlin. Hmmm...like his flat tire he had before? :D

NorthJersey.com: EXCLUSIVE: Burress involved in domestic disputes

Totowa police responded to two domestic disturbance calls at Giants receiver Plaxico Burress’s home the past few months, borough police Chief Robert Coyle confirmed today.

In both instances, Burress’s wife, Tiffany, had phoned the police, reports show. Temporary restraining orders were obtained in each but were later dismissed in state court.

It could not be determined whether the incidents had anything to do with Burress's suspension by the Giants today for the team's Oct. 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Pat Hanlon, a spokesman for the Giants, said the team will "not comment on a player's personal life."

Records show Tiffany Burress called police on June 2 following what she said was an argument with her husband. When officers arrived, she claimed he had grabbed her. He, in turn, said his wife slapped him in the face.

No charges were filed, but Municipal Judge Terence P. Concoran granted Tiffany Burress a temporary restraining against her husband.

The order was later dismissed by a state Family Court judge in Paterson, police said.

Police were called again on Aug. 19. According to a report of the incident, Tiffany Burress left her husband at a New York nightclub after the two got into an argument there. Plaxico Burress arrived home later and began playing loud music, it says.

Citing the couple’s small child, Tiffany Burress called police to the house, records show. She got another municipal order against her husband -- which also was dismissed at the state level.

No one answered the front door bell at the Burress home this afternoon. Several vehicles were parked in the driveway, the window blinds were drawn and two packages addressed to Plaxico Burress were on the front steps.

A neighbor said he saw Plaxico Burress enter the neighborhood yesterday.

“He was driving up," said 20-year-old Steve Bruno. "He waved and that’s it.”

Well I wonder if THIS was his little "family emergency" that kept him away? Almost adds up when you consider why he could not call the team with is cell.
Drew Rosenhaus was just on NFL Live. He admitted that there was an infraction but that the punishment does not fit the crime. It seems to me like this wasnt the first time this or something like this happened.
As I suspected there were other motivating factors in the Giants reprimanding Plax.

Truth is I don't think anyone knows just what happen but he never called and that is a bozo NO-NO!The Giants have it in his contract if he did anything like this .....they could tear it up!Let just see if this works,as I said before I back Coughlin on this 100% win or lose.
