Hamilton released and Doughty IR'd? That leaves the safety position pretty dubious behind Horton and Landry. Kareem Moore and.... ??? Two rookies and Laron. Basically if either starter gets hurt we're effed...
I am actually comfortable with only carrying four safeties. Michael Green is coming in and he will be just a special teamer, but I am comfortable with Chris Horton and Kareem Moore manning the #2 and #3 safety positions. Obviously Horton has been really impressive as a starter and I expect him to continue that, and I think Kareem is really coming into his own with all of this playing time he has been getting, sure he made the mistake not blitzing on that pass to Avery but I think he will only get better with more experience.
i think that the skins picked alexander over mason because they were sure about his ability, and they were'nt sure about mason's.
I wish we had gotten Mason back - that boy can run - but the coaching staff said he was not a good blocker, which would make him a liability in the passing game.

If I were Alexander I would be both healthy and very hungry. Given that we got him for as close to free as possible, the Alexander move is not a bad one.

Michael Green played well at safety for Da Bears in the early 2000's. The last couple of years he has battled injuries and was cut by Seattle at the beginning of training camp this year. If he has healed, he could be a good pickup. However, I expect to see much less of the Cobra defense.
