That was a test of assumptions. My grandfather survived the London bombings and would tell us stories of another great European orator to which I was referrring to...Winston Churchill.
My bad. I thought you were clearly referring to Sir Laurence Olivier

Personally I thought the 30 minute slot was very moving. I was watching it at the gym. I found it hard not to bust out in tears on the treadmill. :(

It is going to be moving. They are going to make him look like gold. He is just a common guy, great father, blah, blah, blah. They could even make Charles Manson look like a great candidate. They both scare me.
You mentioned your heart and your gut, but what is your mind telling you? Not trying to come off as wise guy, but seriously, how does your personal situation and ideals fit into their views and policies? And I'm talking about which guy you would rather have a beer with or anything like that. Because both of them drink beer:)
Good point. I am still disheartened that so many people in this country do not vote on principles and ideals. Most people in this country vote based on which guy seems nicer or which seems like he'd be sorta cool. When i hear people say "I think I'll vote for Obama because he seems like he'd be a good guy" or vice versa. How about understanding what each candidate supports and finding the one that hits home to you based on your own positions. It really isn't hard.

Why settle for Charles Manson when you can go with Adolf Hitler?

Somehow I doubt that. He's in jail, he doesn't have voter privilege let alone presidential! Try again.

Tears? really? Are we talking about a politician or a member of the Jonas Brothers?

I watched and the whole time thought they needed a caption saying. I LIED TO PAY FOR THIS COMERCIAL. If he would have stuck to his words and used public financing (which he praised so much) he could have never afforded this comercial. He saw greener grass in not having the limitations of public funding so he back tracket on his words.

It is interesting how little that is brought up. I guess there are no funny YT clips to go with it.

Unfortunately a lot of people vote on superficial reasons. I'm not sure what's worse, doing that or not voting at all. I'm sure there will be plenty of votes for McCain simply because of Obama's skin color and/or name, which is truly pathetic. The sad truth is a large portion of the population is not educated enough to make decisions based on critical thinking.

Funny and sad at the same time. Every time I hear these Obama fanboys I think of the song "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour.

While thats true there is also a group that is voting for him because of his skin color. So you have a problem with those buses the dems have that go around and pick people up promising them money for their time of they go and vote. Remember that group who the Dems taught how to vote but they used the wrong sample ballet. They then took them all to the polls and they voted for some unknown person then srceemed they where disinfranchised.
