I agree 110% Ive been calling for more bootleg calls or rollout, anything that will allow a few more seconds. And with the speed defenses (baltimore), I think a hurry up offense would keep some of these defenses guessing. We dont see any of these kinds of calls... My point is the play calling is not helping JC at all. We have to get him more time!

The hard part of drafting for the OL and DL is that some of your picks are busts. Some take a year or two to blossom and make their impact felt.

The Redskins have taken the position of [B]not [/B]drafting OL and dL players for a dozen years. We have had one of the lowest win/lose records for that time period. I think this bad philosphy and our low number of wins - regardless of coaches - is related.

win in the trenches and you win football games. Vinny Cerratto and Zorn must change the Redskin draft strategy and make picks there.

It sure would be nice to have a good, young DE to rush the passer, or some more depth on the o-line, both of which could have been accomplished in last year's draft. Instead, Vinny drafts not one, but 2 unproductive receivers, when the Skins only needed one unproductive young receiver.

But ok, you draft 2 receivers, b/c that was admittedly a position of need, now what to do with that other pesky 2nd round pick? Oh, I know, let's draft a TE, when we just signed our great young one to an extension, and we have a serviceable backup. That'll be great for all of those 3 TE sets that are so in vogue around the league these days.

The good teams (Titans, Giants, Steelers, Ravens, etc.) all generate a pass rush w/ their front 4, the Skins don't generate a pass rush period, and the o-line has become a revolving door. Someone please put Jansen out of his misery and send him to go hunt deer with his buddy Ramsey.

So far, the front office doesn't have the patience or discipline to draft OL/DL and rebuild this football team, which we desperately need. Oh and next year, no 2nd round pick, because of Jason Taylor ..

So we're screwed for another two to three years. I like Moss, Cooley and even the new WR's. But without the O line they can't do shit with Campbell in such a hurry. I love CP but the dude's going to be hurt the second half of every season we have him unless he has the O line with holes he can run through.

I love the way CP plays, but Zorn has got to do a better job spelling him throughout the season. The horse is out of the barn, so to speak, for this season, but going forward I think there needs to be more series or plays given to Betts from the word go. CP's heart and attitude are to be admired, but as you said, he's going to be hurt the 2nd half of every season the way things are now.
