Re: What Happened To Portis Last Night?
Zorn's dumb! Why in the heck do you want a running back to run a route when you're quarterback is already getting killed back there. Now with Jansen jacked up and Samuels gone...............its scary to think what the Bengals are going to do too us!
I agree. There was still time to run the ball. Your not going to be running too many of those plays that he used Betts for against the Ravens anyway..There is no way Jom Zorn thinks Betts is a better blocker than Portis.. |
I'm glad Zorn isn't coddling CP like Gibbs. Should be one set of rules for everyone. If Betts is doing all the work in practice he should get a chance in the game. Good for the whole team in the long run. Probably CP too.
Yeah ok. Portis has the balls to play injured to and Betts hasn't been doing anything on running plays a hurt Portis is better than a healthy Betts..Best is not that phenomenal a player..Sorry.. I think Zorn made a big mistake not playing Portis in the second half... |
Re: What Happened To Portis Last Night?

Re: What Happened To Portis Last Night?
Specifically, there were instances where Zorn expected Portis to get out as a receiving option due to what the Ravens were sending. The fact that Betts practiced and understood the scheme was the main reason Portis was benched. Zorn pointed out the pass Betts caught for 20+ yards setting up the only TD.
Thanks for pointing that out. |
