I think he adds balance and excitment to the league. If anything they should release Romo. He has moments of greatness but...[/quote] I think your drunk...balance, matured? |

Hog, what has he done this season that deserves release? |

I hate the guy and it makes me sick to come to his defense but you're definitely off here. |

But when that cameras rolling it's all about TO. He's sort of like Michael Westbrook in that regard, except no one really liked Westbrook. I don't know if it's due to his injury, but I was not really that impressed with Romo this year. Still, I don't think they should release him. They should bring in a decent young backup QB though. |

In all honesty (or at least as honest as I can be) He IS talented, and if you look at numbers, he's still got it. What is it 8/10 TD's 800+ yards, etc. It is the CONSTANT turmoil that is always in the wings if not on the front burner. "Romo throws to his friend Jason Witten, and not me". "We all know how it is, if we throw to me, we win, if not we lose" Sideline rampages....... It's the constant NON-TEAM BS that sucks the life force out of a team and pulls the focus away from what is important. HOWEVER< it's really Jerra's fault for orchestrating the current power set-up, and allowing T.O. to do what he does. |

If every QB had the offense Romo had/has, my pretenses wouldn't seem so far reaching. With that said Dallas has never had a problem finding quality QB's My point is if you release TO why not Romo? Who plays his position better? TO came to Romo's rescue not the other way around. |
Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
listening to a guy from some Fort Worth paper a m inute ago. According to him, T.O gets along with most of the team, but is having a problem with "The Homo", J. Witten, and some of the coaches

Speculative, but maybe TO wants out? I don't know Hog, I just like his talent and would feel robbed as a fan of football if he was gone. Maybe I'm off here. Not to get off subject but, it seems like we are willing to take a chance on Hall who has similar tendacies. At least TO is a proven great football player. I like Hall too |

Understood Smoot. Would you give Owens any consideration as a Skin under any circumstances? |

Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
T.O. in D.C.?
F no. |
Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
Worst case scenerio is that the Cowboys start the year with their WR depth chart as R. Williams / Crayton / Austin / Hurd. With Witten and Bennett at TE, Romo would have plenty to work with.
I think people thought Jerry Jones was crazy for making the Roy Williams deal, but he could come out smelling like roses if he's able to clear out TO and still have a bonafide #1 with Williams. TO's going to have a hard time finding a contender that will want to deal with his antics...so this may be it for him. |

He's still a very productive NFL wr and probably will be the next 3 years. |
