Re: You gotta like Aikman
Aikman's Exam:
Q: What is the last thing you remember? A: The underside of the bench. Q: What was the name of that bus? A: LaVar Arrington. Seriously, he was always a class act (as was Emmitt Smith). Respected adversaries who had terrific careers. This is nice.
What Emmitt Smith are you talking about? The guy that no one liked on his own team? The guy that wouldn't sign an autograph for a teamates mom, saying "if i sign an autograph for you mom, i'll have to sign an autograph for everyone's f****** mom." Paraphrased of course. Troy Aikman, yes. Emmitt Smith, no. |

Re: You gotta like Aikman
Is this a hoax? **** Troy Aikman! Are there any Redskins fans out there?
|
Re: You gotta like Aikman
Troy is a good announcer and a class guy. Of course Lavar's hit on him is one of my favorite highlights. It's amazing he could go untarnished considering the people he played with. Good for you Troy.
I assume I'm the only dissenting opinion here?
Is anyone old enough to remember their super bowl years of the early nineties? I guess I'll abstain from a detailed opinion on this guy but safe to say I don't like him and certainly won't be gushing over him. Nice guy or whatever, I still don't like him no matter how much he or this media source tries.

Is this a hoax? **** Troy Aikman! Are there any Redskins fans out there?
Look, I’m anti-Cowboys as much as anyone, and it’s my guess that I’ve been hating them much longer than you. I was alive and screaming in the 80s and 90s during the REAL rivalry when we'd beat down the Cowboys in the NFC Championships. I’m sure a lot of us here on Warpath remember it, too. But you know what? Sometimes you gotta call ‘time’ on the rivalry. Just as Troy Aikman, and many Cowboy fans did after the death of Sean Taylor. He/they were one of, if not the first, to reach out to us during that devastating time. He's also a damn good (and fair!) commentator. I pray we wipe the Cowboys every year; if I saw Aikman, I’d tell him so. But I’d also say congratulations on returning to school, and on your graduation. It’s called good sportsmanship. |

But him and Joe Buck are capital D douchebags. Buck more than Aikman and Aikman just because he has cowboy ties. Someone get these guys out of the booth for all the major NFC games. |
Re: You gotta like Aikman
Troy Aikman and his two credits twenty years late can eat a fat one.

I hated going up against him, but I respect him on and off the field. |
Re: You gotta like Aikman
Well it didn't take long for this thread to turn to shit.

Re: You gotta like Aikman
Only how many days to the draft, OTA's, training camp???

Re: You gotta like Aikman
Troy Aikman is a "walking, talking, prick with ears".

Damn, if a Cowboys fan dislikes him that much, that's more reason for us to like him :) |
