Pretty funny. Actually I'm Colt and I want to start. |

my sentiments exactly. those two moves would allow us to do pretty much whatever we wanted on draft day. |

I don't think it's possible to get two more expensive free agents under the cap? |

Well he's not getting the money he was expected to get in the free agent market. So that's going to help us, if we and he is still interested. |
Re: Will We look to up grade the OL next?
Think with all this money being spent now that we are going to trade down? With the Haynesworth deal and the Hall resigning, what is the cap situation for acquiring a FA offensive lineman and our draft picks?

Dock is in, let's hope Willis soon follows and pray Orapko is available at 13. |

Ok... there's a lot of good stuff happening so i'm hesitant to nit-pick but Orakpo is not our guy if we go defense @ 13. If we go defense w/ the 13th pick Rey Maluauga is the man. We're already thin at LB and our defense, regardless of big Al, will continue to center around London. Like GTripp has said if he gets hurt, and he showed signs of wearing down last season, things will not go well. Rey is an animal. He can play SLB for as long as Fletcher is our QB on D but if the worst happened we'd have him to step in. Rey is the hardest hitter in the '09 draft and exactly what we need. ... that said we may still trade down in which case Orakpo is def out of the question and Rey may well be too (hard to tell cuz his combine was lousy and he doesn't show the speed everyone wants). |

He's suppose to come to us cheap. |
Re: Will We look to up grade the OL next?
i think willis is doable and orakpo at 13 would be my choice too, but we'll have to get closer to see what happens there.
still possible to get a pick for golston and sign kendall as depth, but there's a good chance with the tight cap space that we forgo that with a willis signing. |

Re: Will We look to up grade the OL next?
Rey Maualuga is not very versatile. would rather have Brian Cushing or Clint Sintim and have one of them play SLB so Blades could go back to being groomed for MLB when London is out.

Cushing has the lowest durability rating of any LB expected to go in the 1st round... be very surprised if he has a successful career in the NFL. |

Good post, players often make big strides between years, especially 1 & 2. Even if he only makes the team as a reserve, I really don't think that's enough to label him a bust. |
