Seriously, if this were some kind of smokescreen, then it would be one of the most ill conceived in recent memory. What is the endgame? Who is it that we are secretly pining for? More picks? The only realistic trade partner would be the jets at this point if sanchez somehow falls to us and we can get the jets to swap spots. But that is wholly unrealistic, idiotic gamble to take with your current starting qb and overall team chemistry.

Those claiming this is a masterful subterfuge by D$ are either off their meds or the biggest wishful thinkers I've ever heard of.

Agreed. I don't want them listening to MOST fans. Some fans are reasonable. I think I am generally pretty patient with thsi team and Snyder. I am starting to lose it. The constant starting and restarting is grating.

I think you're partly right. He owns the team but he really shouldn't be involved with football decisions. Money decisions absolutly but anything involving evaluation of talent is out. I USED to think the assertions that he was involved in those kinds of decisions were stupid. Now when I hear Dan Synder is enamored with Mark Sanchez it makes me wonder why Snyder is involved in a way that allows him to be "enamored" and affect our drafting.

I think the [B]owner and FO[/B] need to be willing to be terrible for the sake of the long term success. I do not think [B]they[/B] are willing.
Snyderratto has proven time and time again that [B]they[/B] do not have the patience to build through the draft, not the fans. Look at the spending in FA [B]this offseason[/B]. Just when I thought he learned from Gibbs, he goes out and signs Albert to the richest contract for a defensive player in the history of the NFL. At a time when we have many many holes to fill.
To be fair not all the moves have been bad.

In the 10 seasons Snyder has owned the team we have had 6 head coaches. Six head coaches in ten years, not to mention the diffrent offensive systems our players have had to learn.

Here is the sad list of starting Qb's during Snyder's tenure:

1) Brad Johnson (only good one and we cut him)
2) Jeff George (head case/borderline retard)
3) Tony Banks (wow what a winner)
4) Shane Matthews (not qualified)
5) Patrick Ramsey (not qualified)
6) Danny Wuerffel (sucked)
7) Tim Hasselbeck (not qualified)
8) Back to Patrick Ramsey
9) Mark Brunnell (past his prime)
10) Jason Campbell (different offense every year, no line last year)
11) Todd Collins (due to injury)
12) Back to Jason Campbell


We are going to trust them to pick another QB when we do not even know for sure if Campbell is the real deal or not?
Put a good line in front of Campbell and give him a fair chance. Build the lines first then get your dream QB.
Vinny and Dan were skipping school and out getting getting high on the day they taught how to build a team through the draft and keep your picks day.

After watching the 10 greatest drafts show on NFL Net last night, it reinforced more that [B]all[/B] the great "Dynasty" teams were built primarily through the draft. I am talking about great drafts top to bottom. We currently do not have the FO that is capable to draft like that.

Don't apologize. Great Post! I agree with everything you said Defensewins and I just wish the FO had as good a grip on what it takes to become a winning team as you do. The only thing I disagree with is Jeff George, I think [B]Borderline[/B] Retard is being too kind. :)

I don't take meds, but surely wishful thinking (I prefer creative).

Having said that, How much of this is really the front office and how much is just the d*** media just repeating stories over and over. I say its probably heavily skewed toward the media.
