Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
Don't just call the mainline though. Make an appointment and speak to the District Chief or, if they have one, the community liaison. Try to get a face to face. Let them know that this what you have done and what your suspicions are. If you just call the local district and report it to the desk sergent, nothing will come of it.
^^This is solid advice. I know here in Frederick County, they take drug problems very seriously. I'm currently serving on the Grand Jury here...every other Friday from February to the end of August...we'll hear on average 8 presentments each session, of which 4 or more are drug related. If your local district has a drug enforcement unit, that might be another route to go as well. Give them your description of the person and their patterns, and let them handle it. Who knows? Your guy may have already sold to an undercover or an informant, and not known it. |
Agreed it was a bad move. I did nothing but look over at him but I think his guilty consciences got to him, thus making the gesture.
Guilty conscience? He's a f'ing drug dealer dude. |

I hardly think the kid is going to do anything becasue I looked at him, he has been doing this for over a year and has yet to be caught he is not going to ruin a good thing because someone looked at him funny. I will just ignore him moving forward and let the police handle it. I was just so mad this morning that this was going on in my neigborhood even though I had my suspicsions his actions today confirmed it for me. I take pride in my neighborhood and my neighbors and we are a close group that work hard to keep a nice place for your children to grow up in and this cancer needs to go. |
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
This guy that he's meeting with... does he live in the neighborhood or is he a stranger too?
|
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
Matty, I totally agree. More than once and something is up. I mean, so many of these clues I may view completely different if I actually saw them. JoeRedskin knows better than I do, tip the police and see what happens.
Hope everything works out! |

No one I have seen before and he drove away afterwards. There are only like 20 homes in my development. We kind of live in farm country north of B-More. I know my neigborhood very well. Every house in close proximity to me I talk to those folks daily, go to Xmas parties, share good will with, etc... He lives across my neigborhood in one of say five houses that I could not tell you the people's names or what their general story is. His house well kept and all but I am about 90% sure it is his folks house. Which makes sense why he meets these people out on the main road and instead of them coming to his house. |
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
mredskin, I think your little driving thing was a little over the top. When you call the cops he knows exactly who called.
It's highly likely that he's reupping though; there's no reason to give a handshake at that time, but you were pretty dumb to make yourself so obvious. You expect the kid to be intimidated or something? And he'll know who to retaliate against if he chooses to do so. If you're not having issues with broke in cars, more shady people loitering around or whatever just keep your mouth shut. The last thing that you need is a brick through a window, molitov, your car ****ed with, or even harassment. He could just be picking up a dime bag, or a few pills or something, hell maybe even a lil coke, who knows; not to say that all of that is what you want around you, but keep the peace if at all possible |
A quick hand shake with some dude and then they split? C'mon that's got drug deal written all over it. If he's seen this happen more than once, I can't believe it's anything other than a drug deal. What else would it be?
Ok if everyone had that attuide then the drug dealers would run our neigborhoods. You can't live in fear and all I did was look at him. He lives with his mommy and daddy and sells pot on the side, this is not Scarface. I don't think he is going to cut me up in my bath tub with a chain saw. Anyways I took an early lunch went to the police station told my story and they were about as excited as Julia Child would be to eat my home made tacos from the box. Basically he is small fry to the cops in my area becasue they have this place called Edgewood in their jursdiaction that is just littered with gangs and drugs. They took my info and alerted the patrol in my area. Oh well I tried. The cop told me to avoid him and would be highly surprised if he did anything becasue the last thing they want is attention. I mean there really is not much they can do at this point. What would be great is if they raided his house like in Point Break when I am cutting the grass but highly unlikley. |
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
What do your neighbors have to say about this? Call the police. Even if he's a low baller that doesn't mean he'll not turn on his guy. Cops love getting little fish that lead to the whopper. Why don't you just go out there an confront him, I would. Just make sure you're packing heat. Say, hey listen if your out here selling dope then you need to stop. I called the police and if they don't lock you up I'll take care of you. The cops can't be everywhere at once. They're more of a deterrent than anything. It's up to you to decide what's best for your family. Once he knows that eyes are watching then he'll stop being so open, if he's smart.

Quoted for truth. He might be small potatoes, but if they figure out who he is and what kind of connections he has, you bet your life that the Cops will make the effort to nail him and use him to go up the chain... |
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
I almost forgot. What happens when homeboy owes someone money or one of his customers thinks he pinched on a bag? They're going to drive to where he's selling and light him up. If he happens to be walking past your house . . . . It's just something to think about. I'd rather be proactive than reactive. It's you or him.

Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
He could be selling bass fishing bait. Or he could be a Mormon with insomnia. Or he could be an homosexual, in which case, if you were to call the police, it would mean you could never be Miss USA. But in all likelihood, he's dealing cocaine.
I am a bit surprised to see all our Warpath members who believe that the war on drugs is a failure and who advocate on behalf of legalizing drugs want you to call the police. Apparently the war on drugs is okay IN YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD. |
Re: Potential Drug Dealer- Advice Needed
Selling drugs is still against the law. It is OK to respect the law even if you don't agree with it. I don't sell drugs for this reason. Honestly though if all this kid is doing is sell pot I say let him give the people what they want.
