Re: Don't Bust An Obama Supporter
I'm getting old, seems like only yesterday Kevin Johnson was playing point guard for the Suns and leading them to the NBA Finals.
As for this mess, best as I can gather here it's wrong what Obama has done. And, two wrongs don't make a right, but an Obama supporter will "defend" it by citing something W did, and a W supporter will "defend" that by citing something Clinton did, Clinton-Reagan, Reagan-Carter, Carter-Nixon, Nixon-Kennedy, etc. |
Other than saden's obligatory YouTube clips, the silence from the Obama supporter camp is deafening.
EDIT: And although my original response was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, if you look at the front webpages for the four media outlets I mentioned you do not see a link to this story, unless I missed something in a quick look at all four. Obviously if you dig, you'll find it. I would say this is a pretty important story with all the transparency and accountability talk from the Obama Admin.
The best part of the whole story is that he probably brook the law that he sponsord about giving 30 day notice to congress. |

You're dead on about the Obama vs. Bush argument. However the media is supposed to be a watchdog, not a prom date for the Administration (D or R). |

Why speculate in a "they said, he said" matter when you're not empower? In the mean time sit back, relax and enjoy (I know, I know, it's kinda hard with a socialist who that's tearing the fabric of America is in charge). |

I think the "he was fired because he went against a friend of Obama" is a bit of a reach...on the other hand, and maybe it's implied by the May 20 board hearing (which isn't even 30 days ag0), I don't see where the 30 day rule was honored. |

This was not a political firing but a disciplinary firing according to the Obama administration. You are right in that the law wasn't honored. Honestly though, it is very difficult to get a bipartisan board to unanimously agree to fire someone and it's even more difficult to imagine having someone that showed up to work dazed and confused and won't follow the board's directions for an 30 additional days. Time will tell if anything nefarious was going on. p.s. I can't envision Obama squandering his credibility on Kevin Johnson. |

Even if he had reason he still broke his own law that he sponsored. I don't recall Bush getting a pass when he let go of those 4 judges that he had the right to fire at any time. Sure no double standard. |

What happens with Walpin isn't my main issue, no matter who is proven to be right, it's a story that should be covered if the "mainstream" media was doing it's job and not jockeying for who's going to make-out with the President next. There was major, national media coverage of the attorney firings in the Bush Admin. I'd say firing an IG for investigation of an Obama associate, who was an NBA-star, deserves front-page coverage for at least a day or two. It would certainly generate some web-hits and ratings. And nice to see we agree about the whole socialist, tearing at the fabric-of-America, thing. BTW, what's up with the YouTube clips and political debate....don't you have a diamond to pick out? :) |

If he is still at home collection a paycheck is he still technically fired? Formal notice was sent to congress last week and the guy could be on leave of absence for all you know. I'm giving you guys the benefit of the doubt yet you persist in your certitude in wrong doing. LOL @ Obama associate. Jay-Z and Luda are Obama associate too, I hope they don't get into trouble. Come on dog, Fox News got your back, you don't need anyone else because they report and you decided. I've decided to propose with an el-cheapo ring and then have her design her own ring from Blue Nile (with some input from me of course). |
