62.3%
3245 yards passing
13 TDs
6 INTs
84.3 rating

What groove is Gus referring to us getting back into?
Wow, only 5 points separating their QB ratings. Hmmm.

When we look back at our past QB that we have drafted it looks very bad. JC we so need you to come through to break the curse of bad QB drafting for the Redskins. Past Redskins drafted QB as follow...H.Shuler,Gus Frerotte,P. Ramsey, Jordan Palmer. We suck at projecting QB's.
Wasn't he a 6th or 7th rounder? No one expected anything from him aside from maybe the practice squad.

Look at the QB play we've had over the years... of course that is going to be reflected in the numbers the WR's put up. Bad QB play typically means bad WR play.

The groove is we scored more points if I am not mistaken. My emphasis is on the system not the QB. Norv's system helped produce those big numbers on the top 10 list. And to defend my man Gus, he did just as much just about as JC has done with much less overall talent.

Re: Top 7 Seasons by Redskins WR in Last 10 Years

As we always talk about in every thread, the QB, OL, RB, and WR are all interdependent. I'd rate the relative importance of them as:

QB > OL > WR = RB

A WR cannot do anything without a good QB. And without an O-line the QB will just check it off -- just like Campbell did last year. If you have a good QB and O-line, then an average WR and RB will make a good offense. Like the old Patriot teams.

So I'd agree with MattyK -- you can't compare the WR's directly. Our offenses have been fairly anemic. Blame the offensive systems, QB's, OLines, or WR's - we've had problems in each area over the years.
