the officiating was crap. i think someone should investigate whether JJ paid off the officiating crew. we were hoed in our own house... washington dezerves justice

The Refs and Ryan Clark for me are pretty big ones. However, the most dissapointing for me was Coles. You just dont see that kinda game outta him.

Ryan Clark was AWFUL. WHY was he on the field?? wasnt he on the practice squad??he was like a statue in the first half, just WATCHING Cowboys go by. i know Williams wants everyone to play, but c'mon.

I don't agree that the OL really gave up all 5 of those sacks. Brunell held the ball way too long last night. I also specifically 2 occasions where he rolled into the pass rush.

The dude up in the booth who decided to challenge the Glenn TD knowing we only had one TO remaining. Gibbs and Breaux called the second TO before the 3rd and goal stance. Changes need to be made. The ex-ref has to go.

Sean Taylor made a lot of mistakes too.

The ref's screwed us, but you cannot use that as an excuse. I blame the coaching staff / brunnel for wasted TOs and poor clock managment.

Look.. its REALLY clear why we took the big L last night.... 2 HUGE reasons...

[B]1)[/B] 3rd down and 10, pass-interference on .... wait... who??? Walt Harris?? You mean the guy that was clearly looking BACK at the ball, making INCEDENTAL contact, while HE was getting mugged by the reciever??

[B]Personal Note[/B]: I TRULY believe it is a TRAVESTY that a coach cannot challenge an interference or NON-interference call for that matter. The rules are VERY clear... its not a "judgement" call... either the reciever was touched prior to the ball arriving or not, it's that simple. In fact, I think it very well would be the EASIEST challenge to detect on a replay.

I agree - in fact it was a BAD call (to go along with two HORRENDOUS calls). You made a valid point, but there is even more. The slo-mo replay makes it pretty clear he did not have the ball in his grasp (either hands or arms). He was just laying on it, trying to get control, when he was hit and it squirted out.

Lets not blame the whole O-line. Dixon delayed blitzed twiced and had a clear shot. Ray Brown got beat bad 3 times for the others. Pretty clear he will not be the starter for the Browns game. If so expect the roll out to be to the left.

I mentioned on another thread how the booth officials should be involved in the little conferences after the play, but before the penalty is officially called, especially for big, potentially game-changing calls like those. That way, they would at least have another opinion from a different point of view....even if they don't replay it.

I cannot believe 24 people actually blame the refs for this one. Blown pass interference calls are one thing, but a good team overcomes those things. The Skins had their chances with or without the refs, but couldn't get it done. Settling for the field goal just before half time, piss poor clock management, letting Ritchie Anderson get wide open for a 28 yard pass completion on 3rd and 5 late in the game, looking bewildered and lethargic on the TD pass to Whitten, ...

Take your pick guys. But come on, let's be a little more objective rather than blaming the refs, shall we?
