The warpath Salary Cap link has Phillip Daniels costing us $314,000 in dead cap space. How is this possible?

If I remember correctly we cut Daniels last year which resulted in the deadcap hit. We then resigned him to a one year deal in 2009. |

There's a difference between cash-in and cap hit/earnings. He may have deposited 13 mil (or will with game checks) it doesn't all count as "earned" as ar as the cap goes. Cash bonuses get prorated over the length of the deal for a max o 6 years. |
