Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
The Ravens can flat out score. I hate to say it, but they could be headed to the Super Bowl. The D gave up 474 yards though. Wouldn't that be something? The Ravens D being the reason they DON'T go far in the playoffs.
Brees is insane. He drops back, finds the guy in single coverage and lets it rip. He doesn't give a f*ck how covered the receiver is as long as it's single coverage. On one TD, his guy jumped over the defender to make the catch before the defender could even get his head turned around. Absolutely ridiculous.
This is one of the main things that the top seven or so quarterbacks in NFL do that seperates them from everyone else. JC is still a little nervous about attacking single coverage if he feels the man is covered. In the NFL a receiver in single coverage usually has the distinct advantage and players like Brees attack single coverage all day long. If you are a CB and you blanket your receiver in single coverage Brees is looking at you and thinking "I got you." |

Is JC reluctant to throw unless his receiver has a couple of steps or is he being coached that way? A completion or pass interference call is as likely, if not more likely, than an interception. An incompletion isn't the end of the world either. In the second half in particular it seemed like Campbell was looking deep on a lot of the pass plays, but then went to something underneath. |

That's what were hoping that Malcolm Kelly will begin to earn starting with an impressive performance today, but let's face it: if you were the Skins QB, you wouldn't expect a Redskins wide receiver to win a single coverage battle either. |

Man, that Ray Ray hit was vicious. Good game between SD and Baltimore.

Ray laid the wood on that youngster. I think Lewis goes down as the Butkus of his generation. |

Go Giants! Ruin the grand opening of the Bonehead Palace!

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Hmm, I wonder who the OC for Baltimore is? Oh yeah, Cam Cameron. Cowboys will win tonight.

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Cam is showing he is the man.

Try telling that to the people that laughed at me, I personally think he would be the guy I hire as Zorn's replacement. Who cares what happened in Miami, one year is not enough of a chance. |
Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
No surprise to me with Singletary's ability to coach. Tennesse 0-2 start is strange. New England has not looked as strong I thought they would so far season (I flipped between the Skins and Jets vs Pats today).

Re: Around the League Including Tonights Giants/Cowboys
Am I the only individual who was at todays game that thought it was a disgusting display of athleticism? 9-7 against a piss poor team is atrocious...

I guess that's what I like about Brees. He makes his receivers better. Anyone they put in the game makes plays. Those same players wouldn't do jack on most other teams. |

Eli looks good this year.
