Actually, building the D-line has been a priority of late. And we do have some youth that should be ready to step up.

Daniels Has Torn Right Biceps

Just got off the phone with a league source who confirmed the Redskins' fear that veteran defensive end Phillip Daniels has a torn right biceps.

But Daniels, who was expected to undergo an MRI exam today, has told team officials he believes he can continue to play despite the injury, which occurred late in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

In addition, Pro Bowl tackle Chris Samuels has informed team officials he expects to return to the lineup soon after suffering a neck injury early in the first quarter Sunday and sitting out the rest of the game.

Coach Jim Zorn will address injuries during his Monday afternoon news conference.

Now we can bring back Wynn!

Seriously though, re-signing Daniels was a minimal risk so if he's hurt and can't play it's shame but we do have Jarmon and Lorenzo Alexander and in some situations we can slide Haynesworth out and play Golston and Griffin in the middle, and we have Orakpo and Carter who can line up on the other end. And Montgomery should be ready for the second half of the season. So I'm not so worried about our defensive line

I hope we do something soon really, Orakpo had three sacks already (1 sack brought back due to a penalty) on a situational basis imagine his production as a full-time DE it would be beastly.

That's weird, I thought I posted a post on this thread about the idea of moving Orakpo to DE full-time.. But whatever, let me "repost" again..

I absolutely agree with the idea of moving Orakpo back to DE; the results are there when Orakpo played as DE.. He most definitely can get to QB.. I don't understand why Blache still haven't give up the experiment and move Orakpo to DE.. It mgiht be because there's no one to take over the SLB if he moves Orakpo to DE.. Although I really believe that Horton could take over the position; he plays like a LB when he's close to scrimmage line.. Then that way, we would have all of our best defensive players on the field..

Is it just because they are Redskins that I have herd about a player having a torn biceps or is it a common injury. I just cannot remember hearing of any player other than a Skins player having this injury.

Brett Favre last year.

The Bucs have LB Angelo Crowell out of the season with one.

Not sure how common it is, but it's not a problem exclusive to one team.

I told you this year would end up the way it has.

Whats the excuse for JC now? he needs another year? injuries to the offensive line?

But, on the other hand, I'm not a doctor.

You mean put Orakpo at DE where he belongs and bring back a real LB? Nah..let's just wait till next year and draft a LT with our #1 pick and let him take Orakpo's spot at LB.
