I am a doctor, although not a medical one. I say if it hurts when it moves, you should not move it. That's my diagnosis: "moving finger syndrome." :)

Hurts less than yesterday but still won't move all the way up. Argh.

You could always do like this boxer did and cut it off on your kitchen table.
