re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
It'll be nuts up there. Can't they pick him up AFTER we play them? Assuming it goes through of course.
I think our game is after the trade deadline. |
re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
Still, you have to say, who would have thunk it?
Would anyone would have thought even this offseason that Brett Favre and Randy Moss would play together on the same team? |

Why didn't we make a run at Moss 81 ?

When? If you're talking about 2008, Randy Moss wasn't going anywhere but back to New England. Besides, we probably would have gotten just as much as Oakland got out of him. Our talent at QB since the Moss trade to Oakland, and even before that hasn't been much better then the Raiders. Still once McNabb starts to see the field better and learns where people are in the offense we'll see much better production in the passing game. Elite receivers are a nice to have, not a need to have. |

Good for them still don't think mini go far.

re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
The Patriots own Oakland in the front office. They have got their 1st rd pick next yr AND if they get a 1st rounder for Moss now, that means they would have leveraged a 4th rd pick they gave to OAK in 2007 for a 1st round pick for a WR 4 yrs older in the 2011 draft.

It's about to be completed.

re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
It sounds like Pats are getting a 3rd.
Adam_Schefter Good business: NE traded a 4th-rd pick to Oakland for Randy Moss and will get back a 3rd -- after 300+ receptions and a few dozen TDs. 34 minutes ago via ÜberTwitter |

re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
Pats now have 8 picks in the first 4 round next year. Amazing.
If Revis and the Jets beat the Vikings on Monday though that's a huge hole for the Vikes to come out of and Moss will be none too happy I'm sure |
re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
I swear New England always seems to get the better half of their trades. But this is going to hurt their offense. I guess Ben Tate's fantasy value just went up.

re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
Just heard the trade is a wrap. Moss is a Viking again. Good lord what has the world come to.

re: Vikings and Patriots complete trade for Randy Moss
Will be cool to see Moss back in the purple, I always liked Minn. & they were exciting when he was in his prime there.
The pats did this last year w/another solid vet - R. Seymour. They have given up some good, productive players for draft picks & as Smootsmack points out - 8 picks in 4 rounds next year is huge. They have paid the price in the meantime though, I think they miss Seymour, and I think they will miss Moss too (they certainly are missing Maroney as well). I'm glad we didn't get Moss. |
