Wow i am shocked that you guys havent heard of the movie Newsies before or at least the term newsies hat. I feel like they made me watch it in middle school serveral times.

I thought it took place durind the great depression, but its acutally takes place in 1899 (i just scanned the imbd). Basically a bunch of newsies (street kids that sell newspapers) get screwed out of a 10th of a cent i think. And they go nuts and start singing songs and stuff and strike. Its a pretty horrible movie.
