re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)
I don't think he has had drug problems, I mean I know that cup of purple drank was found in his house but one of his friends claimed responsibility for it. I think he was just lazy and didn't put in the work or really give a shit in Oakland. If he's working out with a guy and this guy is willing to vouch for him it's gotta mean something. Who knows, maybe he can have a turnaround.
We all thought Mike Williams (Seattle wr) was a massive bust for the longest time, and it was true because he was. But Pete Carroll has given him one more chance and now look at him, he's finally living up to his potential. By the end of the year he'll have good #1 wide receiver numbers I bet. |

With John Lucas as his mentor maybe he can become a pretty good Tennis or Basketball player.

re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)
There's a lot of fundamental issues with Russell as a QB, and anyone that signs him is likely wasting their time with him, but if you're not competing for a title and are just going to be running out time in the season anyway, there's worse things to do than give Russell a tryout.

I bet this workout is more of an info gathering type process for the offseason. I don't think we would sign him now.

re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)
When i first heard this i too was like no way. But honestly what harm can it do, we should constintly be looking at ways to improve this team so why not. It is a little embarrasing though.
I still want them to take a look at Jamarcus' old LSU bud Ryan Perrilloux i think has more potential, and has been good so far in his short playing time in the UFL. |

no thanks. not now, not ever.

Re: Redskins
I don't want him on our team. He's a bum. Remember how we used to laugh at him saying that J. Cambell was a huge upgrade over him? Sorry to bring up Mc5, but remember how we used to clown him for being inaccurate and putting too many balls in the dirt. But all of a sudden he comes here and some of us are giddy. Back to JR. He sucked his whole career but I guess to some of our fans "this may be a good pickup". My point... If we clown a player for sucking else where, how all of a sudden does that change when they come here?

Do you think he has the know-how and cardiovascular endurance to run a 2-minute drill?

re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)
Dudes, this is the dude who lost his job in part to Jason Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski because both were better than him.

He probably has the cardiovascular endurance to raid a vending machine. |
re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)
JaMarcus Russell> Rex Grossman. He can learn from McNabb but he has to live in Ashburn all year.
