I don't think that's all uncommon. I was my current height by middle of 6th-7th grade. I had a 12 foot too (13 now). Some people just hit puberty early. It looks worse because Reid is standing next to kids half his age. (although I do understand the fact that he's a big guy).

I don't think that is correct because the PP&K competitions are split up by age to make it fair. Well to try and make it fair.

I have been involved in the pp&k and they usually will have a different age group line up behind the other age groups. It seems more likely that Reid was at the end of his 13 year old age group, then started the 7 year old age group. I doubt they were competing against each other.
