Re: F........Wedding Planning
Well if you found one of the .08% of women who are being honest when they say they don't want kids you'll be fine. Otherwise....

I hope she is part of that .08% but we will see. |
Re: F........Wedding Planning
When it came to planning a wedding I let my wife and her parent handle just about everything. I helped with the bar and the band. The band was actually one that I played in and my buddy filled in on drums. I'm sorry but I really don't give a shit what the flower look like or what color the table cloth is. My wife came up with giving these out as gifts with our names on them and the date of our wedding. My friends were impressed. Yes, it does not take much to impress them.

Re: F........Wedding Planning
I hear you on this. When I was getting married, my father in law said he would give me $30k to put down on a house or he would pay for the wedding... like an idiot, I left that decision up to my wife. Just remember, it's her day, you're just there to fill the suit, dance and smile for the pictures.
Her decision deserves a  . |
Re: F........Wedding Planning
As much as us guys may hate to admit it, the wedding day is all about the bride. It really is her day! After all, her family is usually the ones who pay for the wedding.
I personally look more forward to the honeymoon anyways! |

Re: F........Wedding Planning
The great thing about that is that neither of us want kids.
We've been down that road too, and honestly I'm starting to thaw my stance a little bit while she is still saying she wants none. I don't think she realizes that we're almost 30 and basically it's our window now. I hope you guys are 100% sure because it's one of those things that could totally come to a head. |
Re: F........Wedding Planning
My parents in their 60's now have a couple of long couple friends that i know as will and they are childless. 2 out of the 3 choose not to have kids the other try but never were able too. I say just meeting and dealing with them today they all see now they missed out a big chunk of life.
The one that wanted but never were able to always took my sister and I places and babysat us when we were younger. They are the most hurt IMO, they have even offer to watch my son from time to time. Kids are expensive a huge pain in the ass but nothing nothing in this world is better then your kids. There is no $ or material thing I would take in place of my son, NOTHING and I would give everything away that I have now to keep him if I had too. I think one of the best sayings I have ever heard about children is this. You can't imagine having them but once you have them you can't imagine not having them. Quake and TMC seriously reconsidered having children you would be missing out IMO on the best part of life if you don't have any. |
Re: F........Wedding Planning
Basically I have one thing left in my life I want to do and that's visit Europe extensively... After that, I'm ready to settle in and settle down and have some mini-Malcolms.

Re: F........Wedding Planning
I didn't want to get married till I turned 30, but I got married at 24. Then I didn't want to have kids till I was 35 but had our first when I was 27. Things change.
Our first wasn't planned, that's why you get nine months to get ready! You've got plenty of time, just be mindful of the female biological clock, if your girl changes her mind and wants kids at 32 then she's fine. Much past 35 though and the risk of down syndrome and autism starts climbing. |
Re: F........Wedding Planning
Wedding planning did suck balls though. Honey do you want a band or a DJ? I don't care. Do you want blue dresses with silver vests & ties, or hunter green dresses with tan vests and ties? I don't care. Do you want centerpieces with lilies and blue roses or carnations? I don't care. Do you want this china pattern or that china pattern. I DON'T CARE.
Just promise me there will be open bar, and let me plan the honeymoon. |
