Given our track record, Andy Reid would rob us blind in the move, and Haynesworth would proceed to dominate us twice a year for the next three or four years.

They brought in TO and took a chance on Vick, so it's not like he's against these kind of projects/characters.

The AH we don't want to see, if he's on another team, is a content, motivated AH. AH and this Washburn dude seem to like each other very much.

That said, this is just lolspeculation. Maybe they just hired Washburn so Antonio Dixon can develop into a beast.

The Eagles would line him up over center (Rabach). At the snap of the ball Haynesworth would barrel over Rabach, then they both would lay on the ground and do nothing, except count paychecks.

I think he'd actually go for the QB while Rabach is hopelessly on the ground. Washburn and AH don't have major issues with each other.

I don't see why the prospect of trading anyone is even being brought up by the press.

Can't trade veterans until a new CBA is in place. And if that happens after the draft, then what happens with AH?

Teams are allowed to trade draft picks without a CBA, but they are prohibited from trading players.

I'd put the chances at close to zero percent that Shanahan lets him play in the division. It's like a AJ Smith/Vincent Jackson situation. He's apparently not good enough to play for us but he's too good to play for a division opponent. He'll either be traded outside our division, or sit on our bench for much of the year

Agreed, don't get me wrong; I see the probability as very low, I'm just saying that last year's draft showed that Philly will make moves that in the past decade they wouldn't have. The one angle that the skins have is the same as the Eagles in the mcnabb trade; if you want him you've got to pay more cause you're in the division.

Im not sure what constitutes as "conduct detrimental to the team" anymore but I would think an ongoing refusal to speak to your head coach would count as that, no? So maybe just maybe the Redskins show some back bone and suspend him as often as possible next year and dont trade him for .10 on the dollar.

It would probably turn into a huge distraction though so it probably wouldnt be worth it.....but wow I would enjoy it!

So what happens if the league and players decide agree to keep the current rules in place for another year which gives them more time to come to an agreement? I ask cause this has been bantered on the radio and NFL network. If they agree to this prior to the draft are they elligable to trade players and are players FA's or are they under the same rules that applied this last year which kept some from becoming FA's?

I totally agree with this. Remember Allen said "we hope AH and McNabb come back next year." I know that was GM talk, but you have to guess that it was said in case the players are back so there is no anymosity.

I doubt the team trades to a division rival unless there is a huge offer for him which I doubt happens. I'd expect AH to be shopped to the Lions or Raiders and any other team outside the division but other wise AH will remain and hopefully put on a short leash. Let him suit up, keep him on the bench, and if he makes one comment suspend him for 3 games each time.

Of course, that does make the most logical sense but, in this particular situation, if the price is right, I wouldn't pass it up. Neither do I believe the Skins would.

With that said, I, like every other Redskins fan would like to see him sent outside the division.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with him. Who knows, maybe he does stay put.
