Re: Potential Government Shut Down
Hooskins,
Ususally that is the case. But there seem to be some deep differences, especially in some of the new tea party members and may make passing CRs difficult. |
Re: Potential Government Shut Down
I am going glass half full on this one, from what I heard it is likely to be pushed through.

Re: Potential Government Shut Down
This is all political theater at its finest. When it's all done they will be the only ones clapping and shouting bravo.

Re: Potential Government Shut Down
Highly doubt there will be a full shutdown. If no agreement is reached they usually extend the previous years budget.
Sent from my Droid
Thats the problem the dems did not pass a budget last year. |
Re: Potential Government Shut Down
I don't give a **** who has to pass what. I work for the government but as a contractor which means if they shut down I don't get paid. My wife does becuase she's a federal employee but ol' papa bear get's zilch!
I hope they get this thing together and fast because this is bullshit ! |

Re: Potential Government Shut Down
Doesn't matter; she'll get something which I'm happy for but this needs to be resolved. This game that politicians play pisses me off. Rich ass people who are out to keep other rich ass people happy while kicking me in the ass. Blows me. F'n blows me.
Pass the freaking bill already please. |

I would love to see politicians not pay themselves and their staff. |

The President and Congress are exempt from the shutdown due to how they're paid. |
Re: Potential Government Shut Down
maybe they could all pledge to set their salary at $1 for a year if a budget deal isn't reached by the next extension?
|
Re: Potential Government Shut Down
This is not about bickering which we see all the time. Its about the new young bucks that ran on the promise to cut spending and the others that want to go status quo.
